Controlled Labs
Hey all, I've got a question or two about some of the CL products. Pretty much everywhere I look on this website I see people with some type of CL product. I'm in the market for a NO preworkout supplement and I'm looking at White Flood. Is it really worth it? It's quite expensive so I want to make sure if I drop the cash for it I'm getting a solid product. I'm also quite curious about Purple Wraath, too. I've heard LOTS of good things about it, although I'd still like to hear some other opinions on it.
Currently my stack is:
ON 100% whey protein
Higher Power Creatine Monohydrate
Nitrix (hasn't done squat for me yet. I don't really like it)
ECGC green tea extract
Fish Oil capsules
Universal Animal Pak
That's about it. Any comments on my stack so far? I use a GNC generic NO product that works surprisingly well, but I'm looking to branch out away from GNC and White Flood sounds the most promising. Do you think WF and PW would be nice additions to my stack?

I believe CL products are 18+. Better wait for one of their reps to chime in.
Personally, I would not recommend WF to you at your age. I just don't think you need to be messing with some things, especially with the number of other supplements you are taking.
If you must have something new, PW would be a nice addition, even though once again, I think you are taking plenty for your age.

Xtend/PW
I use Xtend for weight lifting and PW for Cardio. WF is sick. I tried alot of NO products and WF hit the spot. Overall not bad of a price per serving.

I appreciate the good advice and quick response guys. I am pretty wary about what I put into my body, therefore I do lots of research before taking any type of supplement. I've read a little here and there about PW and WF, but have yet to really read much into it, hence me asking for advice.
I have had a few people tell me to stick with just whey and creatine, and trust me...they are working wonders. I lifted for a while before I started taking any type of supplement at all, and as soon as I began taking whey and creatine, my lifts shot through the roof and I made tremendous gains. I am VERY pleased with what I've got so far...but I just want to push it to the next level. I eat like a monster and lift regularly, but I just want....more. I know there's no shortcuts and that it takes lots of time for real results.
All I want is to maximize my possible gains (safely, of course) and I'm looking for the supps that will help me do so. To be honest, I don't think I could not take any supps simply because I feel like I'd be wasting energy and time in the gym.

It is definitely worth it! I am currently taking it and have been for the last month. I highly recommend it. It gives you insane pumps and energy and has made a huge difference in my routine. Great supplement.

BINGO !!! You nailed it
Stick with solid nutrition and HARD WORK. See what your genetics have to offer, and go from there.

That right there is why you are not ready.
Tell you what, if you can find me a study that shows an increase of strength and/or muscle mass from taking NO, I will recommend WF to you.

I haven't once said that NO will increase my muscle mass. Whenever I take my NO supp before hitting the gym, I come in with a pump, and more focused and ready to hit the weights. I feel like I can squeeze out a few more reps at a little bit higher weight. I feel that I can get more out of my workouts and I feel slightly 'cheated' if I know that I could have done better in the gym.

first off, you dont "come in" with a pump. you develope a rather large one as you workout with a NO product.
anyways, I took my first creatine (green bulge, a CL product) at age 15. Despite what everyone says, I think 16 is just fine for you to take supps. However, I don't like NO products much, and wont use NO supps with stimms (caffeine). That be my 2 cents.

Sorry bud, but I believe you're feeling maybe some placebo effect. BUT, if it's making you go into the gym with a little more juice, then by all means go for it. As far as WF is concerned, there isn't a better pre-workout supp that has worked for ME. But all people react different. Keep that in mind.

You're right. You can't physically get the pump until you actually start throwing the weights around. I guess I don't know how to describe it correctly, but when I hit the gym after I take my NO supp, I feel more focused and I don't know if it is placebo or what but my muscles feel 'tighter' in anticipation of the weights.
I agree about the whole age thing; for creatine at least. But whey and my NO seem pretty harmless so I'm not worried about my age with those. Although with the CL products I've been hearing that you need (should?) be 18+ to take them.
I'd like to hear a CL rep's opinion. (That Kane guy is a beast.)
EDIT: To quank, no, I'm not telling two different stories. I'm taking Nitrix but I don't like it. I feel NOTHING from it and have not experienced any increased vascularity, the 'perm-pump' or anything that it says I will. On the other hand, the NO supplement that I have been taking from GNC seems to be working. I've been taking the GNC supp a lot longer than I've been taking Nitrix, and since adding Nitrix to my stack I haven't noticed it at all.

Oh sorry. Hehe I didn't realize that you were a rep for CL. So I gather that you suggest I hold off on the WF until I age a little more and have some more experience?

White Flood is a much better value than Nitrix/NO Xplode. It's not even close, in fact.
