    What effect would running a mile a day do for me?

    I have a higher body fat percentage, and lately I have been running a mile everyday, but It takes me around 8 minutes because I am slow.

    If I did this every day, would I eventually help me? I want to one day join cross country team, and lose body fat percentage.

    it would help, but after about 2 weeks 1 mile should start to seem easy. i know by 2 months running i was runnig 3-4 a day

    5' 9.5"
    160 pounds

    But I am naturally slow and have bad endurance.

    What should I do?

    Haha, I'm at 13 % body fat and I run 1 mile in 8 minutes too.

    I started running a mile every other day for three days, but I got lazy again.

    damn, 8 min is fast.... i usaully do 10... then again i jog more so then actually run,
    STATS:

    Bench Press = 205 x 8
    Squat = 225 x 8
    Deadlift = 365 x 8
    Shoulder Press = 155 x 8
