So, first day back to the gym yesterday after enforced break for over a month for work and new baby reasons. Some embarrassingly light mid rep squats and deadlifts.
Anyway, a day later, my question is this...

Can you actually die of DOMS?

It's not likely, but possible if your not able to get off of the toilet and succumb to starvation, may need a spotter for that. There's some new to me information just a few threads below about plugging (I don't have time to explain, butt it involves new effective ways of admistering supplements). I'm thinking perhaps a whey suppository could help your recovery. Get those protons in right by those sore legs and back.

Elevated Creatine Kinase levels does have the potential of damaging the kidneys and brain. So being force on a death march without any water does have the potential of killing you The wast product from muscle breakdown needs to go somewhere. To much can be fatal.

DOMS are just the welcome back reminder. But they go away after you think you might die.

Drink lots of water. DOMS will not kill you. They can make you wish you were dead. Back in my power lifting days, I put a handicap grab bar on the wall next to the toilet so I could pull myself up when my legs would not cooperate.

The baby will go away after a few weeks. Congrats on the DOMS!

Doms = muscles crying
Baby crying = gas/hunger/pain
So eat some beans train harder and embrace the pain. Than lay down and cry with the baby!
