    Sleeping question

Ive read somewhere on these boards that sleeping is where your muscle recovers. So would that mean the more you sleep the better your muscle recovers and the more gains you get from workout?
If 70% of muscles are made in the kitchen, then women must be jacked underneath :O

    I always rape back.

In theory, it's better not to sleep more or less than 8-9 hours a day. There's no proof that sleeping 11 hours a day will help your gains.

    Read it somewhere in here.
You can be either ashamed of other people's progress... or you can try to be like them!

I do my best. Do you?

the important thing is to dont disturb the sleep. A good sleep of 6 hour is better than a 8 hour night and wake up 4 time in the night

It must be true; I sleep sometimes and I am exceedingly very strong.

too much sleep can also be a bad thing.

like, someone already said, if you sleep a whole lot, you'll wake up tired and feeling like ****. you'll also have wasted a good chunk of your day if you're doing 10+ hours, hours that could have been used for other productive things. your body also will go into a catabolic state after X amount of hours sleeping because of lack of incoming nutrients, so eventually it will be detrimental to you.

    I'd go or 7-9 hours a night.

muscles grow and recover while resting... so it makes sense that sleep is the best time for them to do that. but more than 8-9 hours is bad because your body probably gets too much into a catabolic state
