1 week out!! pics
I'm exactly 1 week out from the NPC Las Vegas Classic. I've been following Layne's sodium load and deplete phase and plan to do everything else he says in his article to the T. My carbs have been pretty high still yet. About 260 to 300 grams a day. I will start Tommorrow on slowly lowering my carbs till Thursday. Then carb up on Friday. I still havent done any cardio and I dont think I will. I'm already weighing at about 149.5 pds At 5'8. I lost about 3 pounds just from the sodium loading and depleting. Cant wait to carb up. I feel pretty flat right now.

Well, it's an aesthetic pref. but I'd have to disagree. I'm about the same size as him and I know that size is my one real weakness.

this is the problem when people think the only one's who can qualify as "big" are IFBB pros. It is what the magazines have programmed the bodybuilding community to unfortunately
ebone: your conditioning is absolutely flawless; you are going to use dream tan #2 for your tanner right?

You might wanna do some cardio....you look like your holding alot of fat...especially around your chest......................hahahahahaha
Bro you look amazing, really good man, from how you started to how you look now is sick, alot of IFBB pros dont get as lean as you!!! I dont see anyway that you wont win your show man.
Good luck, not that you need it!!!

Yeh I agree with Al Shades, of course he's too small if the weight class he is entering is 200lbs plus. In this case, ebone45 is entering the novice lightweight division so he doesn't have to be that big.
judging from the pics he's posted so far, at 5'8 and 149lbs, he doesn't even look that light. On stage, underneath the lights, coated tan and oil, he will most likely look alot heavier. He hasn't even started to lower his carb intake and carb back up so once he does that, it'll fill him out even more and again will only enhance his size and vascularity.
I'd have to say condition is paramount, yeh size does matter...if you're a professional IFBB BB'er.
Kia Kaha ebone45. Kick ass bruddah!!

Looking great man. Sure there's always thing you can improve on as the others said (traps, chest, w/e) just trying to get the symmetry and everything perfect but alot of that comes down to a matter of opinion and preferences. You're ripped to shreds though and looks to me like you oughtta beat some ass in the competition. Good luck!

Big Vs. Small
in the natural divisions, i believe that they dont care about size as much as about definition (though both would be great). Unlike the Npc shows (though they claim to be natural) are all about size first, defintion second and the same with the Ifbb.
Two time Natural Olympia champion David Whitaker is 6'2 235 contest time, not very big if you think of guys like Gunther at the same height, But he has excellent symetry and defintion

Ebone, you are ripped to shreds. Good luck in the show. You should definitely place high.
i have to ask- What is your cardio routine like? or is your metabolism just that fast?
