    carbs after running

    i am trying to loose some extra weight , so on my non weighttraining days i run about 4 miles, im also almost completey cutting out my carbs , but if after i run would some simple carbs make me fat? if not ,what are some good examples and dosages of simple carbs to take after i run?

    I believe the keto guru's have recommended 15g protein and 15g dextrose for post cardio workout.

    always have a protein/carb meal or shake immediatly after any kind of training...whether it be cardio, weight training or after football practice.

    hell no, it's not going to make you fat. It all goes into your muscles. I would say take in atleast 50g of carbs after a run like that.

    I'm not on keto so I eat about 60g of carbs via oatmeal... Seems to work for me, but after some of the stuff I've been hearing I'm considering a malto/whey shake and then the oats half an hour later.
