How do you know if he has it or not after such a short period of time? He's athletic, is actually pretty good on the mike and has a good pedigree and head for the business. He just needs the right character and program to set him off.
I seem to remember another 2nd generation star that was given generic tights, a generic babyface character and pushed under his gimmicked family name: Rocky Maivia. By your logic, Vince should've given up on him 2 months into his career.
Thank God you're not in a position to make any decisions for anyone in any capacity.

As for the age topic, I believe some of us have named the age factor to show they are there now (DH Smith, Kenny, Reid Flair coming up, and Rhodes) so young and have so many years ahead of them to make a name. There are very, very few names in the business that started out a superstar, it takes time to learn the ropes, pay your dues, learn the tricks of the trade, make a name, and get the right push from creative. As I mentioned before the three talentless, gimmickless, jobbers from WCW who later became Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Undertaker aren't the only ones who had difficuitly making it at first... Terry The Boulder (Hulk Hogan) was even fired because of not being a name... Austin was fired by WCW because he wasnt "marketable"
