    Calories burned

Question #1 - How many calories does the average person burn for regular daily functions (ex- breathing, getting up, walking, eating, etc.)?

Q#2 - How many calories do you have to burn to eliminate 1 pound of fat?

    Thanks.

To answer your first question. Everyone is different. Everyone has whats called a basil metobolic rate. This is the number of calories required to stay in homeostasis. Your BMR is dependant on body composition, body weight, age, and fitness level.

Lacey is correct it takes 3500 calories (approx.) to burn a pound of fat.

This website has some simple calculators you can play with...

You can also use this but it wont be super accurate...
