If you could have analogies of a car to a human body, how would you compare each component.
Some I could do analogies of would be:
The metabolism would be like the car engine itself. The throttle body would be like the controller. A broken (cracked) throttle body or vacuum leak makes engine idle too high RPM just like making resting metabolsim rev too high. Fuel pressure problems make engine idle down too low just like make metabolism too slow. Adjusting throttle angle screw on a throttle body is analagous to manually adjusting resting metabolism up and down.
The oil and fuel are like the food that makes the metabolism function correctly. O2, fuel (kcal), and spark (electrial impulse) make engine rev, or metabolism go.
Engine charging systems and ignition systems = metabolism electrical/nervous systems.
The transmission would be like the muscular system, with gears being the muscles. Each gear being analogous to a muscle fiber-type; fast-twitch=gear 1, mid-twitch=gear 2, slow-twitch=gear 3. Transmission transmits power to movement.
Fuel tank would be like the fat storage depot. Fuel = Calories
Fuel injector(s) would be similar to the pancreai.
The computer is the brain.
What would your analogies of a car and human body be, as far as muscular system, metabolism, fat, and calories is concerned?

your car and your body use the same redox reaction to power it (your body uses it to change ADP to ATP)
C6H12O6(glucose) + O2 -----> CO2 + H2O
your car burns gas (hydrocarbon) with O2 to make CO2 and H20
more electro negative gains less electronegative hydrogens electron, when a more electronegative atom gains an electron the energy difference in stability is given off.....
so your car and your body are alot closer then you think
