tris after chest

I've seen so many people on here have splits where they do tris after chest..So I decided to experiment and tried that today...You fkers are crazy...My tri strength sucked, I couldn't use nearly the same amount of weight...

So who still likes doing tris after chest-

Who splits them-

haha yep that will happen. I change up my splits. But yea over the summer i switched back to the good old CHest/tri Back/bi routine and I had forgotten how fatigued my arms were after the chest and back.

But keep at it man its good to switch it up you'll definately get stronger

I like doing both on the same day. Triceps get hard from benching and dipping so I find it good to toss in one isolation exercise for them last.

I work triceps after chest and after shoulders (two different days). It works for me.

bump.. best mass builders on tris are close grip and dips, and after chest your strength on those is going to be drained, so how you're going to overload enough is anyones guess. Its like trying to win a running race after doing an hour of heavy cycling

Exactly.....Normally for weighted dips I have at least 45lbs hangin from the belt and cranking about 15 reps, today I knew I was a little tired from chest, so I only put on 25lbs and could only get 10, then 8 on the next set....That just shows how much of a diff. it made....I'll never train tris after chest again

I vote both. I do 3 sets of lying tricep extensions (behind the head skulls) after chest, but also have an arm day for CGBP, dips, and skulls.
