    I'm struggling with my diet....

I've been unable to train intensely for about 18 months due to injuries to both elbows. I'm finally getting back in the swing of things and want to add some mass, but like everyone, I want to limit any increase of fat as much as I can.

I weigh around 140 and am shooting for between 2500-2700 calories per day. I'm struggling as I don't want to consume more than 1.5g of protein per pound per day, which alone comes to about 800 calories. My problem is that this will force my ratio to be somewhere around 30pro-50carbs-20fat?

Is this too much carbs and fat?

I would say thats fine man. Many people on here take in between 40-50% of calories from carbs. and 20% fat is definitely standard around here too. if you do a search and take a look at the abundance of posted diets on this forum, you will find its not uncommon to have the same ratios you have. Try to take in much of your carbs pre and post workout, for energy, and than stick to fats in the evening, like in your pre-bed meal. The fats will slow down the absorption of protein while you sleep.

20% of calories from fat is a minimum! Don't go any lower or you may risk running your testostorne levels into the ground. As long as you are trying to gain mass, then 30/50/20 sounds great. If trying to lost, I wouldn't eat so many carbs, but judging from your pic, you look lean as it is. Personally, when gaining I go for 40/40/20, and when losing I go for 50/30/20.
