In your opinion, what is the best supplement for your digestive system?

This thread is not a joke, please try and keep the joking to a minimum.Yes, fiber is great but, it is pretty hard to get a suffiecent amount of fiber from foods. I must say i love pooping. there is nothing like taking a nice dump.On a daily basis i take about 2-3 poops. I always take one in the morning, and usually at about 3 then some time after that. Sometimes there are days where I only poop once and it makes me feel bloated and uncomfortable. Especially on my cheat day, it is terrible. I was wondering what you guys would reccomend to help regulate myself. Metamucil is pretty expensive. Ive tried physullum husk(sp) and it really didnt seem to do much to me. So any reccomandations or suggestions are welcomed. thank you

huge bump on the yog and Bromelain. I try to eat some yogurt everyday, throw some in a protein shake.

As a fibre source i like ground flax. They take care of odours pretty well, are cheap, and a good source of fat.

i second the legume advice. gotta love legumes. i've got 7 pounds of unhulled hemp seeds, though. that and flax. flax has mucaligenous properties, too. although, from what i've felt and read on the flax that may not be so good... androgen and estrogen receptor chaos.. does flax make us weak? anyway, look at the nutritional profile in hemp.. incredible! copper, iron, zinc, manganese, magnesium, vitamin E, even phosphorus! how many plant foods give us significant phosphorus? hemp is protein, indigestible starch (fiber) and fat. and a buttload of minerals with minimal digestible sugar.

does anyone here have experience with rice bran powder? i swear that stuff gives me floaters. rice bran has a lot of fiber in it. i get mine from "Now".
