Thumbs up Bill Pearl 20 Month's Workout.

Well guy's and gals, I sold all my Soloflex equipment because the wife and I decided to use the room to make a guest room again after I had commondered (sp) it. There was a new YMCA opening up last Saturday so I went and joined. I am going to start on the first of November. I have always been a Bill Pearl admirer. He has the best physique I have seen of all the "old time" BB'ers. On his web site he has a 20 month training program. I have reviewed it and must say I like it quite alot. I would like to know has anyone used or looked at this program at all? If so what do you think about it? I have been looking at it and decided that I am going to work it for a year or so to see the results. Thanks.

Fitnessman: I have that book also! Great programs in there too. I went to Bill's website www.billpearl.com and looked it over. I remember from years ago one of the muscle mags did a write-up on it. I found that it is a program that takes you from raw beginner to advanced lifting. You start out doing 3 days a week to going to advanced doing upper and lower body splits. Check it out. I am sure you will like it.

You can not go wrong with Pearl. I had the honor of being with Bill on my first day back training from an 18 year layoff. That was Feb. 28 1980. His bigger brother Harry remained my good friend and my mentor for years.

I studied his program & was going to do it when I started lifting again but because I had a rot. cuff injury at the time I decided not to. IMO there is a logical progression to it & would be good for someone to begin with, & if the dedication was there in 20 months the results could be startling.

I happen to be the same height and build as Bill Pearl and am going to give it a shot. In fact my maximum calculated body size is almost exactly the same as his!
