Creatine gives a double chin?

Don't read boring back story if you don't want to.

Ok so my muscle has been all over the place these last couple months. For a year straight i remained pretty consistent. Then in august i broke up with my girlfriend so i didn't work out for a month or eat much. And was the weakest ive been. The next two months i went INTENSE and ate everything i could and became the strongest i've been. To top it off i started taking creatine for like 2 weeks and got even bigger. But then i had to move from an apartment to a house and had finals and just had no time to go to gym. So i stopped for a month.

Anyways, i got a very slight double chin. Noone would notice that it's even there but me since im vain and look at my face everyday. Anyone else would not notice. I'm wondering if it's from the creatine or just bulking in general. Now that im finally settled into my house i want to start bulking and taking creatine again but i don't want to get any more fat on me, especially there. So i don't know what i should do. I was getting so buff too and now im in a dilema.

Creatine itself will not cause you to be "fat" -- only consuming more calories than you are burning will result in fat gain. The tendency for people who are supplementing with creatine to experience weight gain. This weight gain is usually a combination of the addition of some lean muscle mass with increased intramuscular water retention. It's not fat gain as a result of creatine supplementation.

When you stopped working out, did you stop eating so much? If you kept on eating the same you would have put fat on and thats where your double chin would have come from.
