OK! my friend who is a GNC manager told me that there WHEY Isolate protein($95 for 5lbs) they sell is the best protein they carry because 95% of the protein absorbs. Then he tells me that the whey concentrate ($50 for 5lbs) only absorbs 75% of the protein and that the low grade regular 100% whey protein($30 for 5lbs) only absorbs 65% of the protein that you consume. So I then told him that all proteins are basically the same, it is just that some of it takes longer to digest then others. Then I told him that if I get the isolate or they 100% whey that the digestion of it shouldn't matter because both of them are proteins and your body will digest up to its capacity. So then he gets all pissed at me and goes no a bitch trip about how he is right and there is no argueing with this guy so I was just wondering if I was right and if i am i want to prove him wrong so he doesn't keep buying isolate and wasting his money. and if he's right then tell me why !
I bought the %100 whey protein for 18 dollars because i got his discount for 40% off for it and he laughed at me for buying it and said it will get all chalky inside my body and is so bad for me. uhh wtf

Well, I for one would never buy from that GNC again. If someone's going to laugh at you for buying a product, that's pretty ridiculous and unprofessional. The customer is right in this place.

Yeah dude, sorry, he's right. Just spend the 95 and buy it...isolate is better. Plus a 5 pound tub lasts me almost 2 months, so meh.

F 95 dollars though dude you can get Natures Best Whey protein isolate for like $23 bucks on the net....I lost the link... google it....Thsi stuff is awesome dutch chocolate or pine/orange/banana are decent...

Concentrate just takes longer to digest.
So it releases protein over a longer peroid of time. Now tell me why that is a bad thing?

the gnc manager has right, its better to take an isolate. but 95 dollars for 5lbs when you can get it for 18 dollars/5lbs, i wouldnt give a flying crap about digestion...

Yes, isolate absorbs better and has a better protein content, but when you compare it bang for buck, it doesn't keep up. Just go with ON.
