Question about Running Shoes

Im going to start doing some long distance running, so I bought a new pair of running shoes. Is it okay to use them without the insoles that are inside or is it reccommended that I keep them in? The shoes feel a bit tight with them in right now but Im not sure if I should keep them and let the shoe stretch out abit.

The shoe will stretch a bit and the insoles will be compress by running. What might be tight will be snug after some running. Personally I buy my shoes a bit tight knowing full well that they will stretch. Then again, I've wore the same style/shoe for nearly two or three years now so I know what works the best.

Your toes aren't jamming into the inside front of the shoe are they? I.e., you have a bit of 'wiggle' room?

Feet swell

If they're tight to begin with, they'll be even tighter as you run cuz your feet should swell up a bit.

Insoles are there to provide your feet some cushioning and support your arches a bit. I take mine out first thing and replace them with superfeet insoles - they provide a lot more support, last longer and are whole lot more comfortable.

I don't know about swelling up. I ran track for 6 years and my feet never did swell up. Anyway custom insoles work better than the ones that come with the shoes. And yes your shoes will expand a little bit after a few weeks of running.

trust me dude ur gonna need the insoles u dont wanna end up like me and get shin splints. if they feel a little tight with them i would suggest getting a bigger size shoe or getting a small insole for the shoe

I dunno, the guy at the shoe store (specifically for running - put you on a treadmill to see what your gait looks like - type store) said to get them a little larger cuz they'll feel tight when your feet swell up and may cause bruised toes. Im not talking about some crazy amount of space but about 1cm. Google "running shoes" and "swelling"

Im no doctor - hell I aint all that smart at all... but I've got some happy feet .
