    Question Am I getting too much rest between workouts??

    Is four days of rest too much time off between working out specific muscle groups? For example, if I workout my chest and tris on Monday, the next time I train my chest and tris is on saturday. Is this too much time off? Should I decrease it to only 3 days rest?

    Note: Soreness is usually gone two days after each workout.

    many use a 3 or 4 day split, hitting each group ONCE/WEEK.

    I know you need 72 hours in between working out same muscle. As far as too long I would work in out again within one week. For instance, on monday work chest and tris, and next monday work chest and tris again.

    your good to go. If i eat right, sleep enough, and don't drink alot i do chest and tris monday and thursday. Unfornately thats a big if.

    I train my chest every Monday, I think training each bodypart gives me maximum growth time, everyones different see wots best for u.

    i train a body part once a week but just because its not isolated doesnt mean its not getting trained. if you do tri's one day then chest a few days later your still getting a decent workout for your tris on chest day, same with shoulders if you do a military press/db press movement.
