Fell in the parking lot! Need ER...
I'm here at work but I have to go in to get x-rays...my ankle is screwed, swollen and tingley...not sure what I did, but it's not good.
One of the guys that went out to get me some ice fell on the way out as well. I'm just sitting here waiting for a ride to the hosp.
I'll let you know when I get back from the ER...thank goodness my daughter is a nurse in the ER at the hospital.
DAYUM! Today "WAS" squat day!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope everything turns out ok with the ankle.

Good Luck!
I broke my ankle once in a hockey game. It swells up fast like an egg and you cannot put pressure on it. I thought it was just a sprain and tried to walk on it. A bad ankle break and the foot comes out of the joint and flops around. 6 weeks in a cast plus muscle atrophy.

That's a pretty extreme way of getting out of doing squats. Sorry to hear about that QualityGuy, hope it's minor.

This is one reason I left Western New York! I fell in an icy parking lot and broke my leg about 10 years ago. Come on down to the Carolina's! The food is not as good, but the weather is great! 70's today! Seriously though - Good luck on your ankle. Hope it's nothing serious.
Go Bills!

QG, sorry to hear about your mishap. But on the brightside, gives you time to work on the upper body while resting the ankle.

Bad news, sorry to hear about the fall.
I slipped on some ice (in my driveway) in Jan '95 and gave myself a nice tib-fib double fracture. After surgery (pins and plates) and rehab I was off my feet for almost ten weeks. Luckily I had just gotten out of the Navy and was still living at my parents house finishing my first year of college. Ten years later and I am starting to have problems with that area (stress fractures). It's still better than my Navy buddy who had his screws back out after a year and a half. he had to let them go back in an remove them. The only real problem that I have with the leg is that the calf muscle seems tighter then the other one. It cramps easier too. Oh well...
Much better luck to you!
P.S. First Post. Looking forward to the forum.

OK...I'm back...
Broken Fibula...might need surgery "IF" the casting doesn't help the bone line up straight. Doc said he'll look at it on Tuesday and assess....if not better, it's screws and a plate on Wednesday. Haven't broken a bone since I was 7 Y/O. I'm not really in pain, just pressure from the swelling....but they gave me a script for Rush Limbaugh's drug of choice "Loratab"
That's all for now...
SOB... ...the guy that drove me to the hospital fell 3x walking to get his truck...only he was a bit luckier.
The Ortho Doc has pics of Bodybuilders plastered up all over his office waiting room....he's helped a ton of athletes, which is his forte, very popular with sports folks around here.

Damn man that sucks. Hope it lines up for you and heels cleanly. I wouldn't fill that scrip unless you really need it. Sounds like you got the right doc for the job.
