SO I've been lifting seriously since january and I've gone from 180 then to around 215 now

When I started I had probaby 10-12% BF and now I look like the pics below.

Now my plans involved continuing to bulk to around 240-250 and then cutting, but my mom keeps getting freaked out and telling me I need to loose my gut. Is she right?

I have had the same problem in the past, mom bugging me and having arguments with me EVERYDAY telling me to lose weight saying my face is too bloated looking. Your just gonna have to live with it for now carry on bulking till you hit your goal. Explain to her about what you plan to do, doubt she will listen tho.

I'd say you're around 14-18% right now, which while not bad isn't good either but fat is way too strong of a word.

Problem is, if you want to put on 40 lbs without cutting before that (unless you're doing a slow, conservative 10 lbs a year bulk) then yes, you will become fat.

I'm actually between 212-216

My waist is 36. Even when I was 180 I had a 34 incher. ALways have had wide hips

FYI: It's not like she looks at me and goes "lol fatty"

She tells me that she is worried about my health. Plus, my dad used to look like I did at 190 and now he's a 250 lb fatty. She is worried that I'll turn out like him. She has always kept herself in excellent shape, in fact she lifts with me 3 times a week. She tells me Im fat in the most loving way possible lol. She's a great mom

You have overbulked. I wouldnt say fat but you definately need to cut. Also the hair is fine but dont pull your pants down when taking pics if you choose to be that hairy. No one here wants to see your pubes, and we can all tell when that exchange occurs. no matter how hairy your stomach is its an obvious line where your pubes start.
