homemade popcorn OK? Yes?

i hope so. anyone else indulge in this when being a little stricter"? i'm on a meal plan to lose fat, tonnes of chicken and veggies and oats and eggs, ya know the usual. i'm not training for a competition though so i like a little indulgence, is stove top popcorn made with 1 tblspn extra virgin coconut oil okay ya think? i'd love anyone's opinions or experiences.

if it fits into your macro's it's fine. I incorporate treats all the time... I'm not prepping for a comp and I know what my macro's should be... if I don't i get way too obsessive and feel really deprived, but that's just me. Even if a huge bowl doesn't fit into your macro's just have a litte bit... what I LOVE about air-popped corn is that you get such few cals with fiber and tastiness for what looks like a lot of food... sometimes I just need to sit down with a big bowl of popcorn and enjoy a good movie!

Also, if you're popping it with heathy fats why worry about it? It's good for you! (in proper proportions of course hehe)

Yeah, if it fits in with your macros, it's fine. You could also incorporate it into your cheat meal.

I LOVE popcorn. I always make it air popped. It's tasty just plain, but you can really have fun experimenting with some spices too. I may be odd, but I like it with nutritional yeast on it, or a dusting of garlic powder... not so good for the breath, but I love it! lol

Why not try air-popped popcorn, thereby negating the need for any kinds of oils?
You can flavor it up with some spices, butter flavoring, garlic, whatever...get creative!
