Kimbo Slice on ESPN E:60 at 7PM
I almost forgot that it was going to be on today, so I just wanted to remind the people that wanted to watch it.

i dont follow MMA hardly at all, but what the **** is tito and that other dude talking about? he obviously could at least compete at UFC. i dont see how he would get destroyed immediatly or whatever he said. if bas rutten is training him, then id say he is a good fighter.

Kimbo earned 75k for his first MMA fight in Cage fury!! That was stunning, then finding out EliteXC pays him 100k PER fight is even more stunning.
I'm glad to see he's taking MMA seriously and working with Bas to improve his game.

Tito isn't a moron. He would take him down and expose his ground game.

I don't know how far into MMA training Kimbo is at this point but from what I have seen, I doubt Tito could get him on his back or in any situation where he could expose his weakness which yes seems to be his ground game since I've never seen him in that position.

You've never seen him against a good MMA fighter. His strength is beating up nobodies. His ground game is definitely not very advanced, and for all we know, his stand up could be weak as well.

I completely understand where your coming from but have you watched all of Kimbo's fights? I have seen him seriously get rocked by some big punches and it didnt even seem to bother him in the least.
Ofcourse if someone was able to get him into a submission he could be defeated but I just dont see anyone over powering him to be honest. If he keeps training and improves his ground game he could be a serious force in MMA.

Kimbo is a bad ass, but I bet Tito would win against him. At this point Kimbo is a street brawler and nothing more.

Actually, I disagree with this as well. He's a former street brawler using his fame from youtube to cash in. But right now, he's any MMA fighter. He's training with good guys, and MMA orgs are willing to pay him for his name and feed him cans he can dispose of in less than 1 minute, so of course he's going to take the money.
I don't have a problem with Kimbo, I have a problem with people who act like he's much better than his MMA record indicates. He has 2 MMA fights, and 1 of them was special rules against a boxer. But people are acting like he's some kind of unstoppable beast. Give me a break. I doubt he would beat any current UFC HW if they were to fight tomorrow. He just hasn't been training MMA long enough.

i seriously doubt he could beat tito, tito would be able to get the takedown and beat him badly.
lol kimbo fought some 50 year old boxer who didnt practise any jujitsu and cantrell (sp) who just lost to brad imes the day before its not like hes beaten fedor or something.

The truth is, we really don't know until he fights someone worth a ****. People act like he's a world class boxer or something because he worked some guys on the street.
Don't forget, he lost to Gannon under his own rules and we all saw what happend to Gannon in the UFC.
Yes, he has been training with a good camp, but just because you train with a good group doesn't mean you're automattically qualified for the UFC. . .Unless your first name is Brock

Tito is an idiot. How can people and Tito waste time comparing him with Kimbo slice?
Kimbo is new in MMA for heaven's sake. He still need more experience with MMA guys.
Still, the last guy he defeated is not garbage as you guys are saying. That guy fought Buentello for the HW title in King of the Cage. At least this guy has better resume and more experience that all the rookies in any of the season of TUF.
Tito has not even 50% of Kimbo slice striking power or skill. However, Tito should be 10 times better than Kimbo in anything else regarding MMA.
The only reason Tito might pursue a fight with Kimbo is because Tito might get a huge payment by fighting Kimbo. It might look unrealistic but a fight with Kimbo could give him more money than a fight with any regular fighter in the UFC. Even my 4 year old daughter knows Kimbo slice (She does not know who Tito is)

to quote dwight schrute "false."
the following is simply my opinion, net meant as a degradation of any sort...
Cheick Kongo, Brandon Vera, Andre Arlovski, Tito Ortiz and Tim Sylvia (both of whom I despise), Cro Cop (if he he has anything left in him), and even Quinton Jackson at 205 could all manhandle/over power him. Cheick Kongo and Vera with their amazing kickboxing would probably have him out in round one. sylvia is a monster who would at the very least use the same strategy he did on Vera of using his size as his main offense. Arlovski is a freakish athlete with way more training and experience. Ortiz takes him to the ground and its over.
I feel like he would be a fighter similar to Quinton Jackson if he had been training for as long as Jackson (about 6 years I think). He has potential, but hes kind of old at 34 to be just getting into the game. Not everyone is a Randy Cotoure - who would certainly pound the life out of Kimbo.
oh yeah, and fedor emelianenko ftw

prolly cus it was fixed or the guy was a pussy jus sayin and kimbos only been training for ten months there is no way he could hang with any of the top ten fighters but theyll never do that because after he looses no one would want to see him fight again.

Wow....two MMA fights and is on ESPN?
I understand he is marketable because of his Internet fights....but they were internet fights and technically criminal acts....and he's drawing that much money from Cage Rage?
I think the guy has (or had, if he was younger) potential - but I know fighters who have had more pro-fights and have never even been thought about by ESPN.
I dunno....
