I'm for it!
I'm all for it! Though like Britonarius, I'm still just trying to get off excess weight: wouldn't glorify what I'm doing by calling it bodybuilding!

wooot! congrats to the winners! I would love to tell my story of how I came down from 220 - but um...I did most of it right before I turned 40
starting recomp now...to gain 10lbs and then cut to 12% - but that will probably take a while
Cheers and good luck and congrats to everyone!

If you have made great strides in building muscle - enter
If you have made great strides in losing fat - enter
If you have done both of the above - enter and also enter a body building competition.
Transformation - enter

What is this?
I'm 52 years old and I don't feel like it. I can still do a roundhouse kick, crescent kick; whatever kick. Do 50 push-ups in a minute which my jealous ass neighbor bet me one day that I couldn't do. ******* MF'ER! He has two fyucked up knees when he used to play racquet ball. And he needs hip replacement and we're the same age! He's the old man! I'm a kid stuck in a senior body!

I'm still working on weight loss
I'm 52 years old and finally decided to do something about my health last year when I weighed a staggering 450 pounds.
I don't know if I'm what you're looking for in Body Transformations, but my life has changed dramatically since I began Weight Watchers and strength training with a Physical Trainer 11 months ago. I average walking 1 1/2 miles a day, and tomorrow I am registered to participate in the American Red Cross "Run for the Red" Event in Provo. I don't jog much yet, and will walk the 1 Mile portion of the event tomorrow, but as I lose more weight I plan to register for more of these events. I've set a goal to finish the San Francisco Half Marathon on November 1st and do it in 4 hours or less. I guess you could say I'm in training now for this event. I have many friends who are encouraging and cheering me on.
I have lost over 150 pounds (I will know exactly how much tomorrow morning at my weekly weigh in). I required supplemental oxygen 24 hours a day until last month when my pulmonologist told me my health had improved to the point that I no longer require day-time use. I still use my CPAP and bleed in oxygen at night, but I no longer have to carry around a tank of oxygen to suck on.
My knees don't hurt anymore. I have more energy, and my outlook on life has made a 180 degree shift. I look forward to activity and love going for walks, riding my bike, and working with my trainer in the gym.
I look very different today than I did last spring. I have gone down 18 trouser sizes, from a 66" waist to a 48" waist. It is awesome to go to Wal-Mart and buy clothes off the rack. I haven't done that since my High School Days.
Anyway, if you would like more about me, diet, exercise, and so forth as you mentioned, let me know and I would gladly be considered for your Transformation of the Week sometime. My goal is to continue down to my BMI suggested 195 lbs., and I hope to be there by Christmas 2009.
Thank you,
Kirk Anderson
