New to the Forum - Starting HRT - Thoughts???
Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself and thank you all in advance for what I hope will be a great help as I get started here. I am pretty fired up to get started.
I am 38, 5'11 190. Used to train pretty hard when I was younger before career and life bumped me off track. Did one cycle when I was 17 (test, deca, d-bol- I know probably too agressive for a 1st cycle, but I was young what can I say). Results were outstanding.
Recently, been missing the fire that I used to have when I was younger so I went to a Dr. to explore the possibility of starting HRT. My test results showed pretty a low test count (202 total /6.9 free) and low GH count. No contraindications. Dr. scripted me 10 weeks as follows:
Test Cyp. 300mgs once/week;
HGC 10,000u 1cc SQ;
B-12 2cc;
DHEA 50mg SR cap (#80)
Omnitrope 5.8mg HGH (17.4iu)
In addition I have a large bottle of Boldonone 50 (Equipoise) that I was thinking of adding to the cycle.
I haven't been training regularly so I am sort of at square one there, but I generally respond very well to weight training. I know that in a perfect world I should really have started training earlier and gotten as far as I could go before running the AS, but I didn't. I am looking forward to the added energy and motivation the cycle will give me.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. What do you think about the doctor's plan? Should I hold off on the EQ and use it next time around? If I should go for the EQ, how should I run it? Is the bottle I have enough for one cycle?
Doc says that depending on my results, he would be willing to add Deca later on. My research suggests that deca and EQ shouldn't really be used together as they act similarly. Planning on starting this week. Looking forward to sharing my experience and results here. Thanks again for any input!

300 mgs of cypionate a week for HRT + HCG? That is really high. The typical dose is 300 mg every three weeks or 100 mg a week.

The EQ may blow you out of the water for a Deca script if you use it. Check out big cats steroid profiles on this site for a look at the EQ recommendations. Lots of great info there.

I wish you well, but we are not allowed to discuss AAS issues in the over 35.
Here's the link;

I also hear the HRT section is not what it once was, perhaps you can discuss this issue in a PM with someone who answered your post if that section does not suit your needs.
Good luck.

we are not allowed to discuss AAS issues in the over 35.
I'm sure if the mods need your help policing the forum they'll let you know. TRT isn't quite the same thing as 'recreational' steroid use, and this is rather certainly the best forum to discuss TRT simply in terms of the number of readers who are on it and because this is definitely an issue for older athletes.

Jude-o,
Part of the reason that the over-35 forum is a decent, well-respected forum is because of users like Fiend_73 who take it upon themselves to assist new users in getting the information they need in the location where it is published.
The mods have set up a specific location for these types of discussions. All Fiend_73 did was help direct a new forum member to the correct location, and remind him why he is doing so.
Most of us who have spent time on the board know where to go if we need information on HRT. It is an important issue for many older athletes which one of the reasons why there is a specific location for its discussion.
Sorry - Jude-o, but you were out of line coming down on Fiend in that manner.
