Body Fortress Premium Whey Protein
I picked this up at walmart, about 2 weeks ago, since I've used it five times and I figured I'd review considering it was a cheap and good tasting protein shake.
Price: 11.97 @ Wal-Mart
Servings: 30
Nutritional Facts:
110 Calories 25 from fat
2.5g of Fat
1 g of saturated fat
65mg of Cholesterol
150mg of sodium
250mg of Potassium
5g carbs
<1g of dietary fiber
1 g of sugars
20g of Protein
15% DV of Calcium
Using a shaker bottle:
It had very few clumps(considering the condition of my shakers, that's a miracle). I got chocolate, and I've got to say it was pretty good. It tasted quite a bit like Designer Whey Choc. but IMO just a little better.
I haven't mixed it with a spoon or a blender, yet but I'll update it eventually with those.
Overall this was a pretty good product, and if Wal-Mart were closer I'd be getting it on a monthly basis rather than Value Whey but Vitamin World is closer.
I'd give it 8/10 overall.

It mixes very well with a blender (as do most proteins). Body Fortress isn't as bad as people believe. Just because it is sold at Wal-Mart it is automatically "bad". Kind of like the whole GNC thing.

I got it at my local genuardi's. A 2lbs tub for $7.27. It tastes ok, and the profile is solid. Granted its no ON Whey, but its much cheaper too.

In my opinion it's well worth the money. I'm on a budget and for the amount I use it suits my needs. People give it a bad rap beause its cheap and its sold at walmart but remember, people have built amazing bodies on a lot worse versions. Just because there is a "new and better" brand of whey out there doesn't mean its better for the money. Just remember diet is still more important and whey is only a supplement not a substitute for good wholesome foods. I would rate it 7/10 (because I still prefer ON) but hey I love the price.

agreed, actually using some right now because money is a little tight. With skim milk in a blender it tastes like choc milk to me, mixes easy in a shaker too. Gotta do what u gotta do when times are rough

I prefer the Sixstar stuff myself.
I never could figure out the "it's sold at Wal-mart so it's automatically bad" mindset. The Walmart here used to sell Weider and EAS, were they bad? Are they better now that their now sold at this Wal-mart anymore? Wal-mart sells alot of things...are they all bad?

I actually like the taste of the Body Fortress, and it is not that bad of a protein. There are a lot worse powders out there that aren't nearly as cheap. I've never tried Sixstar, how does it compare to Body Fortress?

Body Fortress
Wal-Mart sells a really cool little mixer for right at 10 bucks. Its one of those little wand type. You poor in the liquid, dump in the powder, and stick the little mixer wand down in your glass and push the button. My protien has never been so smooth. I hate that clumpy stuff. I was using Muscletech Nitro-Hardcore and I couldn't shake it hard enough not to clump. But that little 10 dollar wand mixer is the stuff!!

I used body fortress 4 times in a row (2 lb tub)... It doesn't taste the best and the gains were descent. I've had much better success with Muscle Milk and ON's whey gold standard. But hey, for the price you can't bet body fortress, its better than no whey at all when money is tight.

Yeah I've been on it too. I'm almost done with my tub of it, and I think it's "OK", but you get what you pay for. When I had the money for higher priced proteins like Nitro Tech, I was seeing gains quicker.

I was shocked to see the add for this product in the November issue of Men's health. Due to the affordability of one tub (around $13.50) I ended up buying two, chocolate and vanilla. I worked out for about 25 minutes, total body and made a shake mixing the two together. I used milk so the taste was better than I thought it would be. Now I have an athletic build so addding a wee bit of muscle is the goal. Over time has anyone seen or felt quality results from using this product?

i have used 2 tubs already and the gains are there. Im 2 months in to my body transformation out of 6 months and i know supplements arent all, but im stacking this with sp250 + sizeon and im seeing great gains. After this next tub i have to use ON because like sizeon i've almost never seen a bad review [besides the fact that its $$]

I just picked up chocolate from wal-mart and it seems to have little chunks of white stuff in it.Looks like pills all crunched up.
Anyone else see this in their chocolate?

i have purchased Body Fortress Whey protein from Wal Mart (both vanilla and chocolate) and have never had white chunks (or any chunks).
i enjoy both - great taste.
mixes well in a shaker bottle.
but it says nothing about creatine being in the whey protein.
i do like this product.
