    When should I take my protein?

    I'm taking it in the morning and before bed but should I take it during my lift or take it immediatly after?

    When you wake up i would stick with the egg whites they act as a natural NO and have lots of protein and as for after workout i would go with whey protein then before bed make it a slow digesting protein such as casein or syntha 6 or even the lean desert......if you want to beef up even more just add more protein but the most important time to get it in is right after your workout

    try this

    im a lil extreme on my way of doing things. i have a casein shake when i wake up in the night to go to the toilet, but dont set an alarm as this will interfere with hormonal response when sleeping. i also take 1 b4 during and after training. read bout milos doing this for his clients thought id try it and liked it. i dont get bloating or ne thing else of that nature so its no pressure on my stomach. i also only have carbs in the b4 and after training shakes. give it a try and c if it works 4 u.

    I will take you thru my protein shake intake daily.

    First thing when I wake up I take one scoop of ON whey with water.

    Depending when I work out I will eat every 2-3 hours, if I can't get a solid meal I will take a Syntha-6 shake.

    1 hr and 30 min prior to work out I eat a small meal or protein shake, whichever is available.

    Immediately post-workout, two scoops, glutamines, simple carbs.

    Cassein Protein right before bed time.

    I prefer to eat whole foods instead of protein powder, but I do what I do to make my macros.
