Question Squats and Deadlifts on the same day?

Should I do squats and deadlifts on the same day? If so, in which order?

That would be an extremely intense workout!

It depends on what the rest of your split looks like and what other exercises you are planning on doing that day.

    Need more info.

This may not answer your question completely, but I do squats and stiff leg deadlifts both on leg day... I'll do front squats, back squats, sldl's, and finish up with hack squats... for 2, maybe 3 sets per exercise.

Regular Deads or Rack pulls go on back day.

I would not do regular deads and squats on the same day. But as aqua-beowulf said, SLDLs and Squats are fine.

    I do, without any problems.
but I also keep the volume for each exercise pretty low as my workouts are pretty frequent(only 2-3 sets per exercise)

I'm a cheerleader at NC State University and we do a full body workout on tuesdays and thursdays, but i injured my wrist and do leg workouts on those days. I use a four day split: chest, arms, legs, shoulders/back. I was going to to do squats and regular deadlifts tommorow along with other leg exercises.

You could do squats and DLs on the same day but one would/should only be a light workout.

I used to do light squats after my heavy deads.

Well, since it is primarily a back exercise, that would be a novel idea.

That's not a problem. Do deads first. You can do straight leg good mornings for hams.

Why everyone is so opposed to this is beyond me.

    Its tiring.

With that said, a friend of mine at the gym swears by it. Depends on the volume, I tried it at medium-high volume and the second excercise usually suffered.
