Oh, on a side note..I went a while (atleast a month or so) doing ONLY weighted dips for triceps and they worked fine. I think weighted dips should be #1 on anyones list without question.

Yea I know whatcha mean..CGBP actually do a nice little number on my wrists sometimes.

Any routine that has Weighted dips could be followed by toe curls and pinky extensions and you would STILL have huge tris.

everyone else has nailed it. Just remember to keep those elbows in especially on dips and close grip.

Also, you don't have to put your hands nearly next to each other when close gripping just move them in a few inches to emphasize the triceps

I might get some flack for this but... I like to do some high rep sets of rope tricep extensions at the end of my workouts, just because it gives me a good pump.

Granted, I'm not a kinesiologist or whatever, but I like it, and I'm going to keep doing it. After all, I can do the whole stack (200lbs) for 20 reps, so either I know what I'm doing or I have great genetics.

I've been reading some other recent threads, you might notice some sarcasm but I'm still being real.

I'd like to be original, but they've already nailed it... close grip bench, weighted dips, and 2 hand overhead dumbbell extensions... 2 sets of each exercise, twice a week following my back workout

i'm not sure if this is even a 'correct' tricep excercise, but i like close grip db presses at the end of my tri routine. i started doing those, hammer grip, and touching mid chest, after i realized that the bb close grip press hurt my wrist.

if you do hammer grip db pressing, don't try to keep them touching or touch them, keep them ~shoulder width...otherwise you'll thrash the **** out of your wrist

and the reason cg bp hurt your wrists is be ause you were doing it wrong - either bending yoru wrist or not having proper distance (proper distance is ~shoulder width grip)

Thats not true. I move my grip in just a LITTLE bit when doing CGBP. Its an extreme case for me because I have big upper arms and pretty decent forearms with REALLY tiny wrists. I hafta take links out of watches to make them even come close to fitting on my wrists....so my wrists will flair up with any type of benching that isnt normal/wide grip.

When I do my cgbp I usually use an EZ-bar instead of a straight bar, holding it on the inside grip. That makes a little esier on the wrists, imo.

no, they don't get in pain because they're small, they get in pain because you're bending them back w/o realizing it, that simple. and my upper arm-forearm-wrists are 19-14.5-6.25, and I hardly think most are as skewed as me, heh. Small wrists != pain.

I dont bend them back any differently than with a regular benchpress though, Ive tried doing it several ways....maybe your right though. Ill give it another look on thursday when I do arms again.
