It works the delts, but it's also a compound, so it works the tris a bit too.

"Dumbbell Press
Target Muscles
Anterior and medial deltoids, upper pectomlis major.
Also used Triceps, Shoulder girdle muscles (trapezius, supraspinatus)."
First thing I could find. Anterior means front, btw.

It's a shoulder exercise. It works the entire shoulder girdle, except that the posterior deltoids get the least love because you have to bring the bar down to your clavicle, thus transferring the weight primarily to your anterior deltoids. During the first part of the lift you'll recruit your medial deltoids, and as you start to move the weight back once you clear your head, your triceps and your posterior deltoids.
I've found that a seated BB shoulder press works my anterior delts more than any other exercise I've come across.

It works the whole shoulder (front, back and side) and it secondly stimulates the triceps. If you arch your back too much it will also involve your chest to some degree.
"The only way out of hell, is through it. "

Overhead Squat-158lbs
Clean & Jerk-202lbs

military presses with a barbell never did much for me except for make me stronger at military presses with a barbell.
if you're going for shoulder development, you gotta go with dumbell presses and raises in all directions.

Educate yourself, but stop thinking too much...
