First album you bought with your own money?
When I was 10 or 11, I saved up and bought:
Bob Marley and the Wailers - Legend
I'd seen an interview on 60 minutes with him and had to get to know more about this music!

Dr. Dre - The Chronic....
I had to hide it from my parents due to the marijuana leaf on the CD face.
1992 FTW

It was either "smash" by the offspring or "dookie" by greenday, I can not remember. Both bands I have come to loathe recently but I still love both of these cd's.

Funny how that first album stick with you, I still think Legend is a great album, while I'm not a full-on reggae fan. (not sure if Space Jam did tho)

My cousin gave me a bunch of great records when I was a kid. The first albums I can remember buying for myself with my own money. Both were on tape and I used my birthday money when I was 10 or 11 years old.
Ozzy - Blizzard of Oz
Def Leppard - High & Dry

Since I had "The Number of the Beast" and "Killers" on good ol' vinyl from my dad, I wanted to listen to something more from Iron Maiden....
so I bought "Piece of Mind"
