Yessss!
It has been almost nearly exactly 6 months since my first day in the gym .
My oh my what a trip it has been. I grew from flabby nerd to....something else .
Some Before After stats:
Calves: 17" => 21"
Arms: 16" => 18"
Weight: 270lbs. same.
Height: 6'6
BF%: That went from 34% to 20%
That means I lost 40lbs of fat and gained 40lbs of muscle in 6 months.
Lifts:
Bench: 30 x 6 => 265 x 6
Deadlift: 50 x 7 => 400 x 5
Squat: 100 x 6 => 460 x 6
Upright rowing: 40x7 => 275 x 6 (EDIT: On a Machine, sorry for confusion)
I stopped squatting last week after I damaged my knee somewhat (it squeeks when I walk), and I stopped deadding too since I don't wan't fek up my back yet.
As for supps I use whey.
The Story.
After being a fat flabby couch potato for years I decided to take matters into my own hands and read up on this site on how to make yourself Big'n Buff. I decided to go for it after I thought I knew enough and wanted to do everything right, eating, resting, lifting, no screwups allowed or else all the hard work in the gym would be for nothing. So I didn't and I made some great gains. Some of the guys I lift with and are huge ass mofo's told me they never seen anyone Bench 265 within a training of 6 months. Maybe powerlifting is my thing?
Kinda funny to see those things evolve, you step in that gym the first time and you see people putting up great numbers (in your eyes) and you envy them and want to become strong as that one day too. At first they thought I was just another fat nerd they would never see again after a week or so, but I stuck to it.
Last week has been great, I managed to bench 265 x 6, I squatted more than the bar could handle and I got myself a DIY mohawk which instantly made me look like a bouncer, I am loving the BB lifestyle .
I owe it all to this site, thanks to bb.com and all the help I received. Without you guys I would have never managed!
The pictures are quite dissapointing in my opinion, I look a lot bigger in the gym and with a lil pump going on . The camera substracts 20 pounds at least!
Yours,
Me.

Yes I started very light to not overtrain immediatly. Maybe I could have done the double of most beginning lifts but I never tryed, I don't like ego lifts.
Upright rowing I mean the upright rowing machine were you sit straight up and pull a rope . Dumbell rowing is 100lbs dumbell for 6 reps.
I am sorry if some of these stats may seem unbelievable. The one thing I hate is people making up numbers, but I swear this is what I manage in the gym. I outlift every machine we have and need to add extra weights with dumbells or plates.
I'll take some pics of my calves, actually they are closer to 23 inch now I remeasured them . I train them 6 times a week, every day that is. I use my own bodyweight, I start with 1 set, 20 reps, 2 feet on the bar, 20 secs rest. Then I switch to one foot for 15 reps, 8 sets (4 a foot) with 20 secs rest. This will fry your calves .
The stupid thing is with 'stats' and all is that when you are bigger they are larger. When you are larger than normal people your stats are larger too.
18 inch arms on a small dude look hell of a lot more impressive than on me, it's all about symmetry.Last edited by Big Natural; 10-05-2005 at 05:09 AM.
