Bulk Stage 1

This is my first bulk. Basically I've been dirty bulking for about 6 months. I've gone from a very small 150 up to 170. My lifts have also gone up alot. The only thing I don't like is I put on some fat.

My bench has gone up from 125 x 6 to about 160 for 8 reps.
I curl 30lb dumbells x 8
I deadlift 215 x 5
I squat 145 x 8. <- Working more on getting the form down. Started these recently.

I'd just like some feedback. Tell me what I should work on. Also any guess for bodyfat percentages? I see by just looking at my pictures my shoulders need to be hit alot. My abs have also been pushing my fat outwards so it looks bigger which I do not like.

My chest is about 41"
My Arms are almost 14"

Any Comments are helpful. Positive or negative. I personally think I have been doing well seeing as I was a complete stick before with my chest flat as a board and no visible biceps.

Sounds like you just need to clean up your bulking diet some and make a few adjustments to your routine. Your not overly fat but you could get there soon if you keep dirty bulking. You say your lifts are going up so that is a good sign.

you need to start toning and stop bulking, you look fat....Not trying to be mean but you definetly don't look as though you've been to a gym.

It is awesome that your lifting more so you are building some muscle....Time to add in some cardio and tone out those guns!

I think i'll spend 2 or 3 weeks cutting then I'll get back to a clean bulk. Or should I just add cardio to my routine and clean bulk from where I am?

Nitro I'm not trying to be an ass...Your prolly great in the gym, but that bulking is just making you look bad...Cut back on those calories, do some cardio, maybe tan its VERY EASY and adds 10lb lean muscle LOL, and your gonna be shredded!

I like the criticism. Thanks for it. That is just what I wanted to hear. I'm going to cut till I lose a good amount and have a good base to work with. I was just really skinny to start with. Now that I know I can put on weight/muscle I'll clean bulk after my cut as you are suggesting. I'm starting cardio tomorrow in the morning.

The criticism is very constructive. Thanks!

FAILURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol j/k, but honestly 5 months bro, there should definately be more progress than that, atleast a little! You don't even look like you've touched a gym! Not trying to bring you down, just trying to motivate you to work harder and realize you CAN do a lot better than that. Pay attention to when and what you eat, as well as your current routine, if you don't have one look into it. Good job on the strenght gain though, and GL!
