How the hell do you compare a 16 year olds? WHats normal?
Im 15 and Im 220+ with a beard, Im vastyl different to the kid who's voice just broke.
There cant be a real average because the freaks (both strong and weak) put the average out of whack, teenagers are so different...
Comparing 23 year olds is anothe rmatter, were you can remove varibales like growth etc.

The freaks will be statistical anomalies, but all human traits and characteristics (from IQ to height) tend to follow bell curves that will allow the abnormally strong and the abnormally weak to cancel each other out.
So yes, if you were to do a scientific study, you could technically find a legitimate "normal" weight for various exercises at certain ages (normal being 50th percentile, for example).
But the OP was asking a different question, one that does not require pinpoint precision or accurate measurements: how much strength SHOULD a 16 year old have? This question is subjective, and it is too vague for me to answer.
That is all.

Well if you want to be like the average teen, you need these stats.
Bench = 640
Deadlift = 1020
Squat = 860"Success rests not only on ability, but upon commitment, loyalty, and pride."

A 16 year has got to be able to do more than 20 pushups or 35 situps."Success rests not only on ability, but upon commitment, loyalty, and pride."

God damn.
That's horribly weak.
When i was 16 i could get 40+ pushups with correct form.
And situps/crunches i could seemingly do them forever."Success rests not only on ability, but upon commitment, loyalty, and pride."

This is what happens on a bodybuilding forum
Have you seen kids who are 100 pounds and literally look like concentration camp survivors (yes theyre out there) trying to do a pushup?
Have you seen kids who can barely stand up from a prone position trying to do a situp?
Sure you could do 40 pushups as a 16 year old. There are those at that age who could do 40 more than you and there are those who can only do 40 less than you.
