Hello everyone!
I wanted to join all of this journaling fun So here I am with the mundane diet and training details. If anyone has anything to add I would be happy to hear it.
So far I am coming off a bulk, and am working on getting the fat off. I have had trouble with this as I am a student and school comes first so training gets sidelined sometimes. So it is excruciatingly sloooow, (only four pounds so far down from 121 to 117 ) and most of the time I have been maintaining until I can give everything the attention it needs.
Diet:
Total Cals: 1575
Macro breakdown: p:163grams(41%) C:137grams(34%) F: 44grams(25%)
Foods: eggwhites, 1whole egg, tuna, cottage cheese,turkey, banana, apple, whole wheat pita/bread,cauliflower, broccoli,almonds, walnuts, peanut butter,olives, fish oils

Activity:
I walked around today at school for about 30 minutes total, broken up between classes. I have been adding weights to my bag and it weighs 18.5 pounds.
Tonight I plan to do about 25 minutes on my elliptical (rpe 8-10)

Feeling:
Not very hungry and have had to force myself to eat. This has been the norm lately which is very unusual for me as I customarily just want to eat and eat!
I have also been struggling with feeling fat and am trying to deal with that. The bulk has proven to be a hard thing for me to do and while I have overcome a lot of things mentally I still find them niggling at me from the back of my mind...sigh I don't know if I'll ever come to terms with this one. Of course having to buy new pants and shirts didn't help that either. I know my back and arms are bigger, and um the booty too! but going from an xs to a m is a step that feels sooo in the wrong direction. Then I catch a glimpse of my biceps and do a back flex and feel all better

Hungrier today which is good because I get to eat more I sooo enjoyed the honey today and drizzled it on my sweet potato with the pecans and it was really yummy. (Dooling all over myself, wipes keyboard down)

On another note my poor little mutt lost a front tooth, I don't know how. He is 9 so its not puppy teeth, poor guy! I told him he looks just like my toothless, inbred relatives in Arkansas.

Ok I have to get my weights in from yesterday so here goes:

deadlifts 115lbsx10x4

I didn't do as well as I would have liked yesterday, just low energy.Although I was actually proud of the pushups. When I started doing them 5 was my max, literally, no sets nothing.

Ok For today!
Diet: 1624 cals
P 156 grams (38%), C150 grams(36%) F48 grams (26%)
egg whites, whole egg, tuna fish, whey, cottage cheese, whole wheat pita, banana, apple, tomato sauce, broccoli, cauliflower, pecans, peanut butter, fish oils, walnuts, gruyere cheese (yum!)

Activity:
walked all over campus with my weighted bag, went grocery shopping and took walked up and down every aisle, more for the food porn than anything else.
Elliptical: 45 minutes moderate intensity ( If I can yell at the dogs then I'm not working hard enough)!

Other:
feeling tired and a little discouraged, but I'll live. I had to give a presentation today in front of class, I hate public speaking, and I'm going to be a
teacher(?) lol

Nice workout! Those deadlifts are impressive at that weight for reps! YAY YOU! You are getting pretty strong!

Good luck for your presentation - you'll do fine!! The trick is to pretend you are just talking to your mum or dad (or someone else who is always going to be supportive and kind)... the only person who is 'judging' you harshly is yourself - so don't be too hard on you and you'll do better than you think!

Also thanks for the good advice (as usual ). I'll try to apply it, I just get so scared and worked up.

So I have today's diet planned out so here goes,( even though over half of it hasn't been eaten yet)

Calories:1610

For lunch I made what my mom calls hamburger gravy, its has ground beef, flour and milk. Since it was cold out it was a nice little comfort food today, so yummy!

Activity/feeling: I don't know yet, I woke up this morning feeling so sick (sinuses?). Weights were planned so we'll see!

Then I plan to make a gingerbread house for me and a sugar cookie house for Steven because he hates gingerbread. Then I am putting up my tree, which makes Lucky(my pup) so very happy because he can curl up underneath and sleep all day.

I have a yummy chocolate chip recipe. It is a really old one and tastes great, although the cookies don't come out fluffy, they are a bit flat but who cares if they taste good right?
1 egg
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/8 cup flour
pinch of salt(yes that is the technical term)
1tsp baking soda
1tsp vanilla
1 cube real butter (1/2 cup)
1/2-3/4 of a bag of chocolate chips, depends on your preference
Nuts if desired
Blend butter & sugar till fluffy, add egg, vanilla, baking soda salt, blend well, add flour, then stir in chips
Bake at 350 degrees for about 7-10 minutes


Also another good one, a family favorite:Snickerdoodles (these are light and not too rich)
1cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cup sifted flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
Mix wet ingredients, add dry ingredients. Then roll dough in little balls and dip in sugar and cinnamon
Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes

If you need more I have more cookie recipes than any one person should have, my grandma collected them and when she passed I inherited them. (we used to snip them out of magazines together and we amassed quite a collection)

Finals are all over and I was a stressed out emotional mess and am still recovering from it, but agreed, it's over! How did yours turn out? (I still don't know about mine yet)


Well I wasn't in here yesterday I was having too much fun taking tests. I also decided that a nice little cheat would help the day along and so after all that testing I had some yummy chocolate ice cream with homemade cookie dough, my favorite treat I also didn't count anything but all the rest of my food was clean.

Activity:
walking, lots and lots of it. I went shopping for some boots (good luck finding my size) and so I was all over the place. I also walked all over campus with every book I owned on my back because I sold those lovely little bundles of enlightening joy back to the over priced store they came from, for less than half of what I bought them for I might add....ugh!

Ah, you ladies just seriously brightened my day! Anywhere I can read about ice cream and and the lack of hairy chest questions... lol

My finals went OK, but not nearly as good as I would have liked... I am VERY critical of myself. This is my first semester not being a straight A student. But, it's not bad at all, Chem and Math ended up as B's. English and Jazz Band A's

Good job! Chem and Math are always really difficult to get A's in and a B is excellent. What do you play in Jazz band?

Alright I haven't been in here lately so I have to catch up on things. Since Thursday I have not been tracking macros, really I didn't have time because I have been sewing, baking, writing cards and catching up on house work. I think things will stay that way until after christmas really. I'll probably sleep after then too
Friday:
I sewed up 2 doll dresses and a blanket and started my christmas cooking.

Saturday:
Finished the chrismas cooking and got everything packaged up for my little goody baskets, and yes I did have some tastes. How can you resist pounds of home made caramel, chocolates and cookies? Well I certainly can't

Sunday:
More sewing, worked on a cookbook of grandma's recipes It is really funny most of them are cookies and sweet pickles... the woman had some interesting tastes :0)

Monday:
Ran some errands and had to take back my boots. Can you believe the boots I bought on Thursday I had two left feet and two different sizes? You can tell I was tired that day! I have to get the tree up and do some more work!

Red face Wednesday, already??

Well I am done sitting on my bum drooling in front of the tv with a crochet needle in my hand. So today is back to work!!
Workout planned for tonight:
Weights 60 minutes, 25 minutes on elliptical mod/hard intensity

Food For today:
Total cals: 1630
P:178 grams (42%), C 148 grams(36%) F40 grams 22%

Foods: cottage cheese, whey, yogurt, ground turkey chili, chicken, tuna, walnuts, sesame seeds, peanut butter, fish oils, milk, squash, sun dried tomatoes (yum!), cherries, whole wheat pita, pear,oat bran, gobstoppers

So far today I feel ok, a bit chunky even though I know this isn't true. Taking breaks makes me feel like a gain 2 pounds a day even though it just isn't possible. I have to double check myself and find that I pinch the fat on my tummy and thighs to see if it is growing, but a good thing is I have kept myself off of the scale.
I am still working on Christmas gifts, I was a bit ambitious this year but I should get them done in time I hope! I am crossing fingers and toes...
I will post the exercises and weights later, as I still don't know what is planned for tonight... squats sound fun but so do deadlifts and I just might get reallly crazy and do both!
EDIT: Oh and just for Emma.... 10 minutes of oh so fun stretching, how could I have forgotten?

Weights from last night:
RDL: 125x8x4 inc weight
bb row: 85x8x4
incline curls: 15x8x4 (these kill me every time!)
Hammer curls: 10x12x4
abs 35lbs
bench press:70x6x4 (getting easier, I think I will be able to move up soon!)
shoulder press: 15x12x4 burn!
leg extensions: 90x8x4
Last nights cardio was hard stuff and I did five minutes extra just for fun... I was one sweaty horrible looking mess when I was done, I suppose that is a good thing...

Workouts have gone down the crapper but diet has stayed straight and in line... I have to get my christmas projects done.. after then I will be back on schedule...ughhhh so frustrating. But positive note this morning weighed in and am down to 113.5, I don't feel lighter but ok I'll take it... I am seeing more muscle definition and have a nice little four pack which is exciting as that is the first I've ever had in my life... ok back to the sewing machine.

Great to hear you are getting results with your training/ diet!! YAY for 4 packs!

(Sorry to hear that things are getting busy/ frustrating with christmas projects! How long till your done? Do you think you'll get a little time off around christmas?)....
