Thanks for the input.
Isn't this diet basically the Atkins diet? If not, what's the difference?

Not really...typical Atkins dieters will eat alot more saturated fatty, crappy protein sources...they usually do not eat every 2-2.5-3 hours...This diet focuses on high protein(and lean sources) and moderate fat with the emphasis on healthly fats. Also, there is no diary on this diet...your indirect carbs will range from 20-40-50 per day...

Would Syntha 6 be a no go on this? 14g of carbs per serving?

What are your pre and post workout meals? I'm doing the fatty meal as my preworkout meal and shake as my post. When is the best time to eat the fatty meal? Should i be eating the lean meal as my preworkout meal? If i have a solid meal as my preworkout meal, how long after i eat should i workout?

30m to 1hr or fasted cardio in the morning before meal 1 and another 30m to 1hr of cardio post workout too much or is that good?
Also, does it matter when I workout? Do I need to get my carbs in before I workout for energy? I have been working out after my lean protein meal and my protein shake/natty p butter post. Is this sufficient?
Thanks.[IIFYM].[Spring Cutters Crew]

Can the cheat meal/carb day consist of a lot of sugar...as long as the daily calorie intake is the same? For example...
ice cream?
cookies?
pizza?
that type of stuff or should it be healthy carbs?
thanks

You can BUT you will not like the way you feel afterwards... trust me. Stay as clean as you can but dont be to hard on yourself. I would suggest going out to dinner and enjoy a good steak with a salad and some fries or baked potato for example. I would go to Texas Road House and eat a 6oz top sirloin, texas fries, bread with cinnamon butter and a ton of coke. i loved it!

I am not a fan of fasted cardio but that is a dicussion that will go on forever. If i were to do fasted cardio i would at least sip on something like xtend during to help regulate blood sugar. I always felt sick and neausated afterwards if i did it fasted and no Xtend.

Been reading through this diet/thread a lot and I am not usually a fan of keto diets however this one intrigues me... I think I am going to plan on using this for my next recomp.
I realize that it is advocated not to use stims because of cortisol reasons, however I love them and although they might not be optimal, are they really going to make that much of a difference in the long run?
also how would this diet work as a recomp with something like havoc... would you be better off just keep carbs in the recomp diet because of a PHLast edited by burke; 12-26-2008 at 03:42 PM.

Does Dave have this diet in a PDF form or a book or something? All I'm getting is everyone's opinions slapped together. Thanks.

Yeah. There might be 114 pages but that is 114 pages of knowledge. Read up.
How would you recommend I do my cardio? Should I do it 2 times a day or once a day after I lift? How long should I walk? (30 min/30 min, 1hr/1hr or just 1hr?) I can do it for however long you think would be good.Last edited by Ethan Carr; 12-29-2008 at 02:14 PM.

No stims, let the food do all the work, only after you have tried adjusting cardio and calorie intake with no fat loss can you add stims.
Adding a PH wouldnt really hurt IMO, you can do this diet as a natty, PK user or an AAS user. The diet does most of the fat burning and muscle building but a PH could increase size IMO.

On something like this diet... in terms of cardio what do you think should be added first when fat loss slows?
A. more sessions per week
B. longer cardio sessions
for example if i start 3xweek for 20 mins, should I first increase to 5-6times a week for 20 mins or should I first increase the time on those 3 cardio sessions?

I've used it and it seems to be fine, but FWIW I asked about that in Dave's thread and one of the other guys said it's a no go due to the palm oil and molasses. I kinda have to have it though because I'm outdoors for weekends at a time or at work and can't always refrigerate a glass PB jar.

Would using Optimum Nutrition Whey (3g total carbs,1g sugar) ruin the diet?
