Don't envy it I have to eat papaya and take antacids, im just saying there's a point in which too much protein becomes pointless (even a waste). I'm growing and leaning out at 200g/ a day at 4200-4500 depending on activity and I'd probably cut at 2g/lb at most,

thanks bro! I have been waiting from 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours before getting substance in my system, in this case, a protein shake. So I have been doing right then by taking advantage of lyposis!

The only reason I wonder is curiousity, seems weird to eat all this ****ing protein
I understand you're not a big fan of these diets, but let's be honest, this is nothing more than an altered Keto diet. Also with this diet, it's recommended not to use them doing it as the release of cortisol would be high.

As for my results, for me it has shown the best improvement in muscle mass and bodyfat loss. In two weeks, I'm down from 217 to 209 and lost 2.5% bodyfat. I'm at 10.5% now and after this diet, I'll bulk correctly now.

It is a lot of protein, but the fat spares the protein much like the Velocity Diet, but you are still eating solid foods. Would I recommend it to those just trying to lose fat? No. Would I recommend it to people like you who are experienced in the field of bodybuilding? Yes.

Yep, just make sure you are within a 110-130 bmp heart-rate and you wont need post-workout nutrition.

    Experiment Update:

I've recently added ON 100% Casein to the Isopure shake for the last week and I'm still in strong ketosis. Reason being is that it keeps me fuller, longer. Just thought people would like to know.

I mean you're a medical student, would you seriously recomend me consuming over 2g/lb of protein if i needed to cut in the future (i'll probably have to cut light at about 160-165 for like 8 weeks to be shredded). I mean i dont get it, sure the fat spares the protein, but he said 10% might be burned up, why not just eat 10% more unsaturated fats or MCT oil, or omega 3's?

You do realize for your weight you will need to adjust the diet, right? For my weight, I'm only consuming 250 grams of protein and I'm 209.

I used Isolate for one and Protein Component for my last one, iirc. The few g carbs from the protein didn't have any negative impact.

Definitely some awesome information in this thread. Going to start cutting using this diet on Monday. I've spent the last 12 weeks or so bulking and have gained a nice amount of muscle but its time to get ripped up. I'll keep everyone posted on my experiences etc with this.

Thanks for the response... how is this diet working for you so far? Also, how does one know their body is even in a state of ketosis?

Most pharmacies sell ketostix that you can pee on and you will know. They are quite inexpensive.

    Shake question

I read the posts about not using milk so i tried using water and it was quite disgusting. Is it possible to use skim milk and still see achieve the same results? Could I cut something out to compensate for using milk?

    No.

Look at the side of your milk jug. 8oz of milk has 11g of carbs in it. At 3 shakes per day that is 33 extra carbs. If your protein tastes like crap in water, buy better protein.
