Its pretty cool that he is from lithuania and the second place guy is from Ukraine because I am lithuanian and ukranian. I guess that meens I have even less of an excuse for being a weak bitch

I love how a few people think TWI has all the best but the only one they ever refer too is Mariusz. IFSA has the top guys plain and simple- you can read that list and see for yourself. Aside from that, IFSA has the largest prize money ever in Strongman; nearly twice what TWI's WSM has because they are cheap bastards. You guys think that IFSA is the bad guy but it was always TWI (when they were joined) who controlled the money that everyone bitched about. They just never got the blame because they were the silent partner. I personally, would rather be in a federation who had the balls to stand behind their decisions rather than hide behind someone else's name.

Thanks for the praise guys! I had a nagging injury but it didn't slow me down too much. I have seen the competition and next year I will really shake things up for the Eastern Europeans.

twi has the EXACT same events everyone was complaining about last year for this year (deadlift increasing kegs,squat same thing)...noone is saying anything now..

and guess what...phillippi is injured...wonder why...BECAUSE THE EVENTS ARE DANGEROUS..

twi could have at least thought of new ideas.

I dont think anyone said TWI has all the best Strongmen. To be the best you have to beat (all) the best its just unfortunate that there are two federations, but i will blame that on the IFSA.

IFSA's best guys are finished. Karlsen, Samuelsson, Bergmanis, these guys have no future left, they are at the end of their road. The fact is that TWI has better guys and more importantly they have better YOUNG guys than IFSA does.

And you should. IFSA's tactics are pathetic. They blackmail people, make up charges to tarnish reputations, hold their atheletes up for ransom. IFSA has to go down and all it would take is a call to the WWE to report trade mark infringements vis a vis IFSA's use of WWE's nicknames. WWE would tear them to shreds in court.

The nicknames are just that; nicknames. There is no infringement on the WWE. The "old guys" that IFSA has beat the crap out of all the young guys that went to WSM, that's why they went that way. As for better young talent, I don't think there is anyone but Mariusz that can hang with guys like Andrus Muramets (27), Koklyaev (27), Savickas (30), and I personally have beaten ALL of their American athletes. I am only 24. I would say that's pretty young. I am not trying to say that I can and will always beat them but if I have in the past and I got my ass kicked like I did last weekend then I don't think they could keep up.

Both Federations are equally to blame for this current pissing match and neither is trying to make it better. I personally like the idea of having 2 top federations. It just gives the sport that much more exposure. Maybe someday they will have a culmination; at the Arnold Classic for instance.

Ofcoirse its an infringement. They are using WWE intellectual property to make money via publicity. Its clear infringement and maybe someone will make the WWE aware of this.

As for talent in the WSM, Mariusz is heads and shoulders above Savickas, he has proven it by kicking Savickas' ass on a VERY regular basis over the last 4 years. And its about 70% of the time when mariusz beats Savickas in a show. As far as Murumets goes, he is capable but the guy has never been one of the best, and he wont be. Koklyev is a good talent, Ill grant you that. But if thats all IFSA has as an up and comer, well he isnt enywhere near Mariusz's level so I dont see all the hype. Personally, I think Dymek is better than anything IFSA has other than Savickas.

Ill say this. There is more talent up and coming in Poland alone than there is in all of the IFSA.

Muramets has just started his carreer so it is obvious that he hasn't been one of the best, but he will be. Koklyaev has only been in Strongman for 9 months and I don't think anyone from WSM, other than Mariusz, could beat him. I have PERSONALLY seen most of these guys, on both sides, in action and there is no way the talent in IFSA is matched by TWI. TWI had to bring in a lot of guys from WSC and USS for WSM. Neither of these organizations has top level Strongmen. The USS is about as low as it gets right now.

Take that attidude to every training session and you'll place higher, way higher. And as velikimajmun mentioned your age, your only 24, keep it up man and you'll do well in the elite level strongman comps.

Can someone fill me in on the WWE nickname thing? Who's being called what? And is it really a blatant rip off? Is someone being called The Hulk, which isn't a WWE ripoff, or are they calling someone The Ultimate Warrior/The Giant/The Rock/etc.

The Undrtaker was one nickname being used. There were others. Yes it is a blatant rip off.
