I was wondering what gos on inside the human body when you have no calories for one day. I would asume your body would deplete all carbohydrate stores and you would drop a pound possibly. I also wonder how long it takes before your body truely begins to starve and eat at its own muscles. How much damage could one day witout food posibly do? And what?

If you don't eat for one day what does your body begin to do? Just one day?

Not too much, just don't let it become a second day.
Are you thinking of QOD'ing or something?

Not on the list? Don't worry! There's still plenty of chances to achieve good karma.

You will go into ketosis, at which time your body will be using it's stored fat for fuel.
One day w/o food should be fairly harmless. You'll prolly feel great the next day.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Keytosis!
Ketosis, just because of what it is, is a secondary condition. The process that leads to it begins when the animal, for whatever reason, stops eating. This action is the primary factor that must be addressed. Without this initial act, ketosis would not happen at all. And it must be dealt with quickly, because when the animal stops eating, the sudden lack of an external energy source causes it to turn for survival to its own body's reserves for a replacement source of energy. These reserves are in the form of fatty tissue.
So I guess that means that your body will use its own fat reserves for energy.
