I wanted to make sure that I am not doing overkill, or wasting money by taking anything that is not necessary. Goals, get a little bigger, gain strength and weight loss. Right now, 38 years old, 215 pounds.
AM Before Breakfast:
Arginine 3-5 G
Carnitine 1-1.5G
Was using Tryosine, but it made me feel shaky...did not like that.
30-60 Min before workout:
Arginine 3-5 G
Glutamine 5-10G
Carnitine 1-1.5G
Citrulline 2-3 G
Right before workout:
Creatine 2-5G
Taurine 1-4G
Right after workout:
BCAA 3-5G (three to six capsules which contain: Leucine 1200mg, Isoleucine 600mg and Valine 600mg)
I do use Centrum daily along with 1 baby aspirin, fish oil caps, iron (slow fe: helps me with energy)
I drink coffee before workout as well.
Thank you very much for any and all advice!!!
I'm no expert on amino acids and such but no one else has come forward so I'll give you what I've got...
Seems like a lot of Arginine, 15g throughout the day, But I don't really know. Some would comment that if you are worried about wasting money Glutamine is a useless supp. I neither agree nor disagree...
Woo Hoo!!! A response!!
Thank you very much!! I have been doing some reading, and it does seem like Glutamine is a non issue.
I have cut out the Theanine because even though it is supposed to help you relax and sleep, I felt restless at night. Also, I have cut out the Beta Alanine because it is hard to find.
Arginine is supposed to help with blood flow, which increases oxygen (among other things). I think I will cut out Citrulline because I think it just helps increase Arginine levels in the blood.
