What's a Good Shake BEFORE Hitting the Gym?
Have any of you found a good shake that you take before hitting the gym?
I need something that will help me feel "satisfied" when feeling hungry.
Thank you!

I just use 1 scoop of whey, 1 serving of oats (ground up in a coffee grinder), and some glutamine. Drink it all down and you're ready to go. That's my fuel. If I need extra energy I'll take some NO-Explode too.

I let 1/2 cp oats (or less depending on macros for the day) sit in milk over night in the fridge in a shaker bottle. They get nice and soft. Then add Whey in the AM - shake and drink. Sounds weird but it is the BEST tasting shake ever. Even my husband and his friends like it - and they always say my food is 'weird'

I'm going to have to try this one. I'm in need of some sort of variation. The same thing day in and day out can get old!

My Pre-WO breakfast is 1 scoop whey, 1 cup milk, and a tbsp of flax. The flax is great for keeping me full until my post-WO meal.

Wow, thank you so much for all of your responses. I am definitely going to try these.
Where can I get most of these ingredients??? Can I get these in a regular supermarket?

I just saw your other thread about being hungry / not wanting to feel full during workout - I'm the same way. I feel nauseous if I eat the 'wrong' things. That's why I started having a shake, sometimes with fruit, before my WO (about 45 minutes before).
You should be able to find flax at the grocery store (bulk section).

I have whey, skim milk, & 1/2 banana. It's just the right amount of food to curb my appetite without being too much. Then I have another shake straight after my WO and about 45mins-1hr later I eat a proper meal.

I too like whey, oats, yogurt and banana...let the oats soak in yogurt all night, then blend it up w/ some ice, a little splenda and some instant flavored coffee...yum!!!
