I was at the gym with two bros. 1 bro was spotting the other on a bench. I turn to see that neither of them could lift the weight, luckily someone huge bro came and saved them. I laughed. (I was getting a drink and was too far away)
bro.
Haven't lifted long enough to see much except,
Yesterday I saw a guy grunting heavily during crunches on an ab ball (?), whatever the big balls people do crunches on are called.Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Is it weird I actually feel SAD I haven't had anything like this happen?
I never really do heavy weightlifting at the College gym because the barbells/heavier weights are kept in a seperate room and you have to take a class to use them, meanwhile I can use everything else free because my 'father' works there. THey have some of the machines, but typically I just hop on the treadmill.
One time, I was on the treadmill, and a guy came in, fairly good-looking, well-built. He hops on the machines, which all have those "please do not clank the weights" stickers (And none of them really go very high, so it's not like there'd be a reason to 'drop' the weights). I start hearing very loud CLANK, CLANK, CLANK. And it scares me because I have music on, and typically can't hear anything unless it's supremely loud. I turn around and seeing he's working legs.
I figure "Okay, maybe he's going heavy and can't control. Just because I break my knees, and snap bones, and rip muscle in half in an effort to be courteous to other people's ears doesn't mean everyone has to."
Then, Clank clank clank again...He's still doing legs. This goes on four more times, then there's peace and quite....and then clank clank clank again! I look and he's doing another Leg machine!
I pause the treadmill, rip out an earbud, and shout "Hey, if you can do that many sets, you can take the extra millisecond to not spread deafness like it's the new STD of the week and make sure the weights go down a bit quieter! I've done twice the weight you just did for half the time you did, and I still didn't make half the racket. THANK YOU!"
No more clanking the whole time I was there. Might be silly, but there was an older gentleman there and I could tell he was even more bothered than I was.
...okay, my story is crap...sorry. Next time I'll be sure to cut my head off while benching too much weight. That should be good.
EDIT: ****! I didn't realise this topic was this old...Maybe next time I should read to the last page.

back in the spring of this year i did too many sets of bench in one week. i had weight training class and would rep 135 and 115 for like 6 sets of 6-15 reps. I went to the gym the next day and repped 135 for 3 sets of 6-8 reps. then i did HIIT or ran 1 mile. then i went over again to bench 135 for 8 reps. but after my 7th rep i got stuck. thank goodness someone was at the bench next to me pulled it up. I felt like such an idiot.this was probably back in May or something.

nothing too bad honestly...but
was doing squats, legs were sweated boxers were sticking to my legs
go down and i feel a rip in the rear, thinking but hopefully not thinking it was my shorts cause it was peak time at the gym
go and casually feel my butt (no homo) and find to realize it was my boxers

When i was doing my first cut i decided to do some cardio in the end of my gym session. So i step up on the treadmill without noticing that its on and "Spinning" so my foot just fly back again and i fall onto the treadmill and roll down on the floor.
Some stupid milf did some kind of superset with cardio and some ab exercise ^^

My story is not an accident, but rather a really embarrasing one. When I first started out I was squatting 140 lbs 3x12 (lol). I was on my 3rd set, and had just squatted my 11th or 12th rep. My legs felt fine and i was confident i could do atleast five more reps. But the very next rep I got down, and for the life of me just couldn't push the weight up. So I was sitting there in an awkward stance, my knees were bent and I had to tilt my body backwards (prolly looking like a total moran.) Roll the barbell over my shoulders and push it off to the ground.
People were watching, my face turned glowing red and I became VERY nervous. Was no fun

When I was doing weighted dips with my SS program I was on my last set and doing 7 reps. I did my first 5 fine, struggled on the 6th, when the 7th came up I had to go Super Saiyan to get through the rep and was coming up slower than paint drying but finished the rep. Well since I was already turned SSJ I said "**** it im doing 1 more!" So i go down shaking, come up even slower than paint drying and got stuck at the midway point. I pushed with everything my body had and didnt realize it but my head was tilted back. So with my perseverance and copious amount of time, I repped the last rep out. Right when I got to the lock out position I felt a sharp, hot pain shoot through the back of my head. I immediately sat down not sure if I popped a blood vessel or what. I thought I was going to pass out the **** hurt so bad. Needless to say I pulled the **** out of my occipital muscle (muscle in the back of your head running into your neck) and couldnt lift for weeks. Moral of the story, weighted dips will **** you up! Nah but really I have heard of several stories of people getting hurt on dips so make sure when you do them-esp. if they are weighted- to use near perfect form and keep a neutral head position.
