No Homo
I can't help but notice many of using the " no homo" tag at the end of a post...
This is a bodybuilding site...talk of physiques, bodyparts, pro bbers, posing, compliments given out, opinions being given, etc.....are all part of mature discussion and dialogue...there is no reason to declare you are "straight" or "not gay"...
I suggest from now on, instead of feeling it a necessary to declare " no homo"...we'll automatically assume everyone is straight, unless they write
"YES ,HOMO" at the end of their post.

It seemed to find its way from the misc. section, everyone just follows suit b/c anyone caught making a remark that can be interpreted as gay will be called out on it. I personally find it ridiculous.

People who are secure with their sexuality do not go around trying to convince everyone else that they're "not gay".....
The mere fact that anyone feels the need to try and convince everyone and anyone that they're "not gay" tells me that they most likely ARE.

Good point, I think this way too.
Like if you don't say "no homo", it means that you are gay or like buttsechs or something and will be group beaten but the homophobic immature teenage consensus or something.

The reason people do the (no homo), is because you have to admit, somethings that we can compliment to eachother can sound alittle....well..you know.
"Nice glutes man, you look huge in those pants!" - example. That's a fine, correct statement that is waiting to be troll-bashed.
The problem is, jokes are soon made afterwords. People chime in, and say "Dude, are you gay? Do you want XXXX's ass? Your nose is sure brown!"
(no homo) is just used for protection from jokes, not from protection from gays. So in a perfect world, it's not needed. But when you do away with "(no homo)", people are just going to find another way of saying it like they did before.
Bob, when I asked to see more of you from 1990, someone was bound to chime in and say something to the above affect. It's just a way to shut these people up.
So thinking of (no homo) as a way to ward of gays is not really the reason it's said. The reason is to ward off people from going "YOUR A FA$#@T"
