Animal Stak 2/Pak/ and Kre Alkalyn
Hello all. I am a fairly experienced lifter. I have been training hard for about two years now, and I've started seeing some pretty nice gains. I currently use Animal Pak and whey protein as supps. I am looking to increase my gains as much as I can. I've talked to one of my friends who is a star football player/personal trainer/bodybuilder and he has suggested I stack Animal Stak 2 with my Animal Pak to increase my gains. He also suggested that I cycle liquid Kre Alkalyn. I'm pretty sure this kid knows his stuff, but I just wanted to make sure that is a safe stack that will really maximize my gains.
I looked up the Animal Stak and realized that it is a hormone booster. I play for a very competitive football team and if I were to get tested, I can NOT fail. Is the Animal Stak 2 considered a steroid?
Basically, I want to get massive over the winter and then get cut at the start of the spring so I will be in peak shape for rugby season and for the summer. Is this a good stack to achieve this? If anyone has any advice please post up.

Have you used creatine before?
And I would definitely recommend AGAINST Stak 2 at 16 years old.

I have not cycled with creatine before. Although when I suggested that I should to my friend, he insisted on Kre Alkalyn. I read up on it and it seems to be a more efficient 'version' of creatine.
Also, why would you reccomend against AS2?

I'd go with Creatine Monohydrate.
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...light=debunked
AS2 has an AI, which many agree shouldn't be used by anyone under 21, and a bunch of "test boosting" crap that won't do anything for you.

Wow....informative read. Thanks! Is there any specific brand of Creatine Monohydrate that you would reccomend? Is there anything else that you would reccomend that I could stack on top of Animal Pak and the CM?

I may be wrong on this and if I am I am sure someone will let me know.. but I'm pretty sure you just have to make sure its micronized and research grade creatine monohydrate

Higher Power is good. Cheap and effective.
What kind of product are you looking for?

I just talked to my friend again. He uses Higher Power as well, so I'll most likely end up getting that. I have read up on ZMA also, and it's cheap and sounds pretty good so I might order that. He also says that his favorite supplement that he's used is BSN Nitrix. I did a little reading up on it, and it sounds interesting. Anyone have any experience with that?
Also, I have never cycled creatine so I'm not sure, is it ok to take whey on top of creatine?

You don't need anything test boosting (animal stak or ZMA), you'll just be wasting your money b/c your testosterone is at its peak at your age. Like previous people have said, Creatine monohydrate is all you need. Higher Power is a good one. Nitrix is not gonna do much for you in my opinion. Again, you'll be wasting your money. I dont think NO products are generally recommended to people under 18, anyway.
Animal Pak is a great multi, creatine monohydrate is good, whey is good. And yes you can use creatine and whey together. Just eat alot and work hard and you really don't need anything else.

For most people ZMA only gives them more restful sleep, no strength boosts or anything like that. And if you're looking for better sleep, I can recommend much better products.
Nitrix is a waste of money IMO. Reviews haven't been too great either.
Creatine and whey are fine to take together. You can actually mix them into one shake (Creatine Mono is completely flavorless)

ZMA is good for raising your test levels if you have a shortage of zink in your body, and it just raises your test levels to normal levels. At 16 years old you probably don't need it unless you're training extremely hard and can't get enough zink with your daily food intake.
When it comes to creatine, any form of Creapure or Kre-Alkalyn will do.

Thanks for the help all. I'm not very educated in the field of supplements (as you can tell) so I think I'm just going to try and keep it basic, like you guys said.
So my stack looks like this:
ON 100% Whey protein
Teamax Green Tea/EGCG (To boost metabolism)
Higher Power Creatine Monohydrate
Universal Animal Pak
and as a pre-workout supplement I'm taking GNC pro-performance Nitric Oxide Maximizer
So is that a pretty solid stack for some heavy gains before a cut?

Did you already buy that pre-wo product? If not, I'd suggest going with NO Shotgun or White Flood.
Everything else looks solid.

Why would you like to create a boost in metabolism when your goal is to gain a few pounds of muscle? It will only make you burn more calories and make it harder for you to gain the mass you want.

Yeah, I've had the NO maximizer for a while. I never really used it until recently. I love it. It gives me major boosts and I can pump out more reps at higher weights. I'll look into those other supps though when this bottle runs out. Have you used NO shotgun or White Flood before?
I've got the EGCG for my metabolism because I have the slowest metabolism known to mankind. I figure even with the EGCG boosting it, it's probably at the speed of a normal person's metabolism. haha

Alright. Yeah I'm sure it's good, GNC makes good products for the most part. I've used both. NO Shotgun is my favorite pre-wo product by far.

That's your call, but now you have to eat more to get the same results you would get from eating less with a sloower metabolism.

Yeah it's an awesome product. Although, I'll look into the NO Shotgun after. I just read up on it and it sounds interesting. I've never seen creatine in a PW nitric oxide booster.
And Robert...I guess that's true. I always eat a ton anyways, so I'll see what happens. I've been taking it for about a week now and I haven't noticed anything at all, so I've got to wait and see if it's even working.
One last question...I plan on taking a few weeks just before March so that I can cut hard for spring break. I plan on taking Lipo 6x for about 4-6 before March. I've only heard glowing reviews about it, so I think I'll try it out. Once I start cycling it, should I stop cycling creatine or stop taking any of my other supps?

I don't really like recommending fat burners to anyone under 18... just a personal thing I guess.
But just make sure your diet is completely in check when you're cutting.
And there's no need to go off anything to cut. Depending on how you respond to a creatine though, you might get a little water retention which will make you seem a bit bloated. I didn't get any bloat with mono though.

Really? Then you haven't been paying attention, their's a lot of NO with creatine on the market

Yeah I've never used one for any long period of time. My friend used one last year, (he's a little bit older than I am) and he had incredible results. I think he used Hot Rox or something similar. If I take it and it makes me feel jittery or weird or anything, I'll immediately stop.
That's good to know. Hopefully when I'm cutting I'll at least be able to maintain my muscle mass. I just don't want to work hard and get big, then cut and lose a lot of my muscle and make the bulk pointless. As for the water retention, does it eventually go away? Or does it usually stay with you the whole time you're cycling creatine?

If you get any bloat, which seems more of the exception than the rule, it'll likely stay as long as you're on creatine.

He got incredible results by eating less calories, not because of a fatburner.

Very true...I bought them last year and kind of forgot about them. :/ I haven't really been looking around for a different NO.
Yea, EGCG has a lot of antioxidants so it is pretty healthy.

Good to know that it's usually the exception. I can deal with a little bit of bloat if I am getting some good results.

Haha...yeah of course. I didn't mean that he ate crap and didn't work out and got ripped. He had been dieting and excercising before he took the fat burner, but about a week after he began using it, he lost weight like crazy.

Because then his body started to burn more calories which made the body have an even greater shortage of calories. Less calories = lose weight. (to a reasonable amount that is!)

Hey reading your early post, I think you should def. try BSN NO Xplode for your pre-workout supp. Gives great energy and gives you a little extra when your tired to get a rep or two more up. It has some creatine in it, I am in college and I use NO Xplode before my workout and then Take Cell Mass which is creatine, immediately after. Its Creatine Ethyl Ester, its different from creatine monohydrate. In my personal opinion i think its a lot better, but you will read a lot of posts saying it just a waste of money. I also take 2 scoops of gold standard whey about two hours after i lift. Ive seen great results.
And remeber if you are trying to bulk up, make sure you eat, eat, eat. There is no need for all these supplements. After all they are "supplements" they just assist you, but thats just one piece of the puzzle you can't rely on it. Work hard, Eat right, Sleep good, you'll be a beast.

I'll keep NO Xplode in mind, thanks.
Yeah I know. You need to have a good diet/workout plan in order for supplements to have any major benifits. I can eat like a monster, so I have no problems getting my calories.
I think I'm going to place my order some time today. Is bb.com's shipping usually pretty quick?
