    Power Cleans for Mass?

    Do i need to do power cleans during my mass building workout? my training partner has shoulder problems and has a tough time doing this exercise...

    Do you need to, not at all. The key is including compound exercises in your routine. If the power clean doesn't feel comfortable, then substitute in something else to work those muscle groups.

    do military press instead for shoulders if you dont want to do them.

    Power Cleans work a lot of muscles, with special emphasis on the traps, hamstrigs, shoulders, lats, and biceps. Are they necessary no, but they are good, try using these instead of a row on back day or in place of a shrug on shoulder day and see what happnes.
