    The Proper Way To Max Out Question?

    I want to see what I can max out on flat bench press my next bench press day which will be friday. what is the proper way to do it. Warm-up sets, set/rep, etc. And should I continue with my regular routine after I check my max

    dunno why you are bothering...
    but anyway the most important thing is when u begin maxing out is that you are very warmed up...
    id say do maybe 7-8 sets... slowing dropping the reps and adding the weight till eventually you're down to one reps and going for it.
    take long rests in between
    now a better question for, unless you're going to potentially win a contest or something by maxing out, why are you going to risk tearing your pec or shoulders or hell knows what else for the sake of finding out what u can bench press?
