How I felt about Durablast today:

Time Taken: 4 capsules 39mins before start of practice

I was quite frankly surprised as to how well it worked. I did feel a little wierd warming up, kinda funky with my stomach, but thats it. After that I felt really good, and towards the end of the workout I was doing great. On the 6x200 and 8x50 sprint kicks, I felt awesome. Usually on a hard set like that towards the end of pracice I burn out pretty quick, but I was able to go hard and keep going hard all the way till the end. I look forward to tommorow

Just a quick note: I will be taking Durablast before my swim workouts whenever I do them, however, on days that I don't swim and I do endurance lifts, I will take it before my lifts.

    Day 3

    Weight Training

Didn't happen today, I had a private lesson after school, then I went and coached the little kids, then had my normal practice right after that and didn't get home till about 45 minutes ago. However, I will be doing today's workout tommorow, in addition to my regular workout.

    Swim Practice

    800 Reverse IM Drill Warmup
    4x300 Free, 4:20
    8x100 Choice Kick w/board, 2:05
    24x50, IM Order, Drill/Swim, 0:55, 0:45
24x50, choice kick w/fins halfway under water, choice swim rest of lap, 0:45
    400 IM Drill Warmdown

    Total: 5600 SCY

I could swear we did more than this, but this is all I can remember.
How I felt about Durablast today:

Time Taken: 4 capsules 40mins before start of practice

Today was great, I never felt fatigued anywhere the entire practice except for my shoulders. I noticed I was not breathing heavy between sets as well. But the coolest thing was, when towards the middle of the last set, I got that "runners high" feeling, and felt absolutely amazing for the rest of practice. I've never had that before, and I can't wait till next week's practice to see if it happens again.

    Shoulders

3x18 Side Raises, 15lbs Each Hand

    Biceps:

    Swim Practice

    We didn't have practice today.

How I felt about Durablast today:

Time Taken: 4 capsules 40mins before start of workout

This was overall a good workout, and I had no problem go through the sets. But as with swim practice, I was really noticing the effects towards the end of the workout.

Also, I dont know why I put "Day 3" for yesterday's log... its supposed to be 2.

    Sure thing PP.

    Supplement History:

I tried the BSN mass stack a while back, way before I discovered these boards and the plethora of information they have on this kind of stuff. While it worked, I felt that for the price I wouldn't do it again.
I have been consistantly taking ON 100% Whey for about 8 months now, and I have used Muscle Milk on and off, I don't use it consistantly because of the price/serving size.
I have been taking multi-vitamins since I was a kid and started taking fish oils in the last month or so. Other than that, I've never done anything.

I took them a little late today, but man I felt great. I got the "runners high" feeling right off the bat, and it stayed there almost all the way till the end. I only started to get tired on those last 50's, but thats just because of all the working out I did today and yesterday, I was really sore. Overally it was a great workout, and I'm really liking what Durablast is doing.

I did not get to workout or do anything today because of the impending hurricane Rita which is headed towards Houston (where I live). We were hurricane proofing as much stuff as we could today, but we are still going to stay here instead of evacuating, it should prove to be fairly exciting.

As a result, I am not having swim practices from now until further notice. I will, if I have time tommorow, do my regularly scheduled weightlifting workout and add in the workout I was supposed to do today.

That's funny, because that runners high feeling is sort of what i'd explain the feeling that i had yesterday while in class. I mean that's a bit crazy, but things felt really good mentally, and concepts seemed to click more easily and i was able to recall things better.

We just got electricity and internet back today.

I've been keeping up with my workouts, and have been to swim practice the past 4 days. I've been taking 8 caps of Durablast before the practices, and the effects of this product have continued to be good. I've been experiencing the "runners high" effect almost all practice at every practice.
I will continue with the regular log next Tuesday after that practice, provided we have electricity and internet.

    Day 12

    Swim Practice:

Not much of a practice today. We have a meet tommorow, so we just did some drills and such, it was kind of random, so there are no sets to write down. It was maybe 3500 yards total.

How I felt about Durablast today:

Time Taken: 8 pills ~30 mins before practice

We didn't do enough to really push the effects of this, but I felt just about as good as I usually do.

I will be taking Durablast during the meet before my first event, and I will post my times here tommorow.

    I will be swimming the:
    100 back: 1:11.07, June 05
    50 free: 28.55, June 05
    100 breast: 1:15.39, July 05

So its been a while since I've raced, and I'm hoping to drop a lot on all those events.

    Swim meet:

Ok, I don't whats going on here, but my times are terrible. I do better than this in practice, and I'm not sure what happened today, but something is going to have to change.

    100 back: 1:12.39
    50 free: 28.05
    100 breast: 1:19.64 (went a 1:18 later in the 400medley relay)

Back in June, we did a sprint set in practice, I chose to do it all backstroke, on the last one, I went all out and had a 1:11.07, my coach timed it. This was at the end of practice. God only knows why I went slower than that today.
The 100 breaststroke time is ridiculously slow, its 3 seconds slower than my long course converted time from a race 3 months ago. My coaches were expecting my go about 1:05-1:08, I went a 1:19, and then 1:18 in the relay.
My 50 free did go down, according to my long course converted time, but I've swam it faster in practice, my friend has timed me at a :27 low, 2 months ago.

So it was kind of frustrating. And I'm not blaming durablast, I don't think it was that, but just to see, I am not going to be taking it tommorow.

Tommorow I swim the 200 back and 200 breast, my times for those are 2:34.07 and 2:42.45 respectively. So we'll see how those swims are. I'm hoping some of my splits tommorow will be better than todays races.

Yeah, they are. Long course season ended in July for us. I'd actually be pretty content if those were my long course times.

All my "registered" long course times with USA swimming can be found here, just search for Kyle Elmore: http://www.usaswimming.org/USASWeb/D...bow&Lang=en-US
Take note of course, I've only been swimming since last Nov, so I'm really not "great."

    Today's Meet results:

Today wasn't as bad as yesterday, but I still went slower than my personal bests.

100 free (in a relay): 1:03 - This is actually a 12 second drop from January, I havn't swam it since then.
200 back: 2:38.09 - only went up 4 seconds, not too bad
200 breast: 2:52 - went up 10 seconds, pretty bad.

Anyhow, I don't feel that Durablast would have much impact at the meet. It is more for long distance races than the short races I did. I didn't take it today just because I didn't feel it helped me yesterday, and I didnt want to waste such a good product.

Sorry I havn't posted all week, we ran into some internet trouble on my computer and apparently it had a virus so we ended up doing a reformat and just got back to normal today.

I finished off Durablast Thursday, and would like to now conclude this log with a summary of this product.

I was impressed with its effects early on, the caffeine in it helped me wake up for the workout, especially the early morning swims this last week. I had some really good practices while on this stuff, and noticed a lot less fatigue than normal. In the beginning, I noticed a sort of runners high feeling during practice, however that slowly began to taper off and I didn't seem to have it towards the end. I think I was just getting used to Durablasts effects.
Overall, this is a solid product, and worth the money. $30 for 30 servings. I feel that if I were to go buy another bottle of this, I would only take it for tough practices and maybe only 3 times a week or less, just so I wouldn't get accustomed to its effects.

Thanks to Dito for giving me the chance to do a review of Durablast for Primaforce.
