Q: colds and the ketogenic
also, i've noticed that i'm more prone to getting colds than i had been before. Is this because of no/low carb diet? i try to eat as much fruit on carb days as possible and lots of vegetables on non carb days.
I'm trying to get over a cold right now, should i stick to keto as well? last month i had a terrible flu which knocked me out of keto and i ended up not getting back on track on my diet till a couple weeks later.

It's not keto, just pure luck if you get a cold (it's a virus after all). What you can do is make sure you're getting in a quality multi vit and take lots of vit C spread throughout the day (since it's water soluble) though (I take an average of 3g a day).
Personally i'd try to avoid too much fruit during the carb up it'll only make hitting ketosis more difficult.

Are you doing a lot of aerobic exercise?
What's your weekly training regimen?

I agree with this, works great for me. You can also supplement with zinc (a common component of all those 'anti-cold' OTC items you can get).

Its true its mostly luck of the draw. Does your gym have the hand sanitizer in it? If so, just use that when you change equipment, it will really drop the amount of colds. Plus the same ole same ole, dont sneeze into your hands, wash them often, etc..

At the first sign of a cold take 100 mg of Zinc, 6 to 10 grams of Vitamin C, 50,000 iu's Vitamin A, and a handfull of Echinacea caps spread through the day for a couple of days should clear it up for you. If you want to be HARDCORE! include some olive leaf extract, garlic, and oregano liquid caps in that mix (it's what I do).
Also wash you hands a lot- my 85 year old great uncle is still practicing medicine and he claims not to have been sick in 50 years when I asked him his secret he said lots of Vitamin C and washing his hands several times per day.
turkey, beef, fish, chicken, whey, eggs, celery, broccoli, almonds, and some cheese== those keto diets are dangerous aren't they.

Actually a recent study shows that taking vitamin C during a cold does not help get rid of it.

Actually from Sparta
"Conducted over several decades and including more than 11,000 people who took daily doses of at least 200 milligrams, the review also shows that vitamin C (ascorbic acid) does little to reduce the length or severity of a cold, according to the researchers at the Australian National University and the University of Helsinki.
So do they..

200 mg is a far cry from 10 grams.

Rest on Monday
Drop the cardio for a couple weeks. You'll feel better, and it'll give your immune system a chance to restore.

I don't know the exact reasons why but it's been proven that carbs help with colds. Something with the nutrients and whatnot. I'd recommend adding some carbs into your diet and once the cold is over get back to keto.
Edit: Also, as others have said, Vitamin C is a very good thing.

If you get a cold within the first 2-4 weeks, your body is probably under stress from the changes that you are subjecting it to.

It's poor chance, unless like kingdomcome says you're overstressing your immune system. A cold is a virus and as such you can't catch it from keto, you need to be exposed to a variant of the virus that you've not had before to catch it.
