Are Arm Exercises Necessary
If your only goal is to bulk up your lower body do you really need to to bench press, barbell curls etc.?

Yes, preacher curls are proven to release high amounts of test and GH, up to 8,000% above baseline, but only if you use Cell-tech.

Yeah I agree. If your bulking up just to achieve overall mass particularly in your legs then you shouldn't concentrate on arms at all. Arms can come later I find.

If you focus on compound exercises for your upper body:
rows
bench press
military press
etc.
you will be hitting your arms plenty anyways....

Arm exercises are not necerssary if your training for strength and mass. Look at powerlifters they rarely ever do any arm work and they got huge arms and are very strong. If you want to bulk just focus on squat, deadlifts, bench press, military press, barbell rows, SLDL, etc.

It's much like the reverse, it's easier to build your entire body, but quite possible to concentrate on part of it.
Look at football(soccer) players, most have pretty typical upper bodies, and strong as hell legs, same with distance runners and jumpers
Doing lower body work will have some impact on upper body strength and size though, especially if you do squats, good mornings, deadlifts etc.. where you are holding the weight in your hands

First I can't think of any reason not to train the upper body... even sprinters do some upper body strength training to run faster...
Also if you have built some upper body mass allready and you stop working your upper body say bye bye.... I would suggest at least some minimal upper body work with higher intensity (such as 5x5 with the basic compound movements)
Finally yes its totally possible to only build the lower body... though a weak upper body will hold back many of your lower body lifts

I think I'm just going to grow my hair out and be content with Mrs. O. Nobody would be the wiser.
