Height and pumping!
'those who start bodybuilding/pumping in their teenage years never grow tall' is something I've heard many a time. How many of you guys out there believe it?. One thing I know: most teen bodybuilders never grow beyond 6 feet. Please reply

I had a friend that started working out when he was 14 and was like 5'4 and now he's like 5'5 lol. Everyone kept on telling him he was gonna stay short, because he liked doing heavy weights and exercises like squats, deadlift, ect and he was pretty bulked for his age. His height almost made me believe it but i say it's bs most likely genetics....

Remeber that 6' is above average height. Average height I think is 5'9 maybe for guys. I grew almost 2 inches since a year ago that I started and am close to 6'. If you have horrible form, maybe you can stunt your growth. I don't even see why this myth is even feasible if a teen has perfect form, how would your growth plates close up without injury or the help of certain steroids?
I know a couple people that weren't into bodybuilding, but lifting for football since they were 12 or 13 and now are 5'11-6'1. I also know people that have started lifting at that age and are short as hell. Just because they're short doesn't mean its because of lifting.

onlt way to stunt growth lifting is by damaging your growth plates, and that can happen with injury in any sport

Bodybuilders are short because many start lifting to make up for being small.
From a strength point, its basic physcis.
