    Whats the most weight you use on weighted pullups

    I love weighted pull ups, ive read about bb'ers using three or more plates. The highest i go up is one plate, what about you guys?

    Well, I usually use a dumbell, so I can drop it and do a handfull more reps. But, 40 or 50lbs is as high as it gets. I don't like to do less that 6 or so pull-ups.

    30 kg (= 66 pounds) + my bodyweight

    I can do 5-6 reps with that, plus 3-4 without weights.

    Most I've use is +55, usually use +45. These are for sets of 5-6.

    I've worked out with a guy that was around 220 and he used 100-125.

    It doesn't matter. And I do agree with this sentiment. But the OP asked people what weight they're using for pullups. That's why people are posting the weights they're using for pullups. So in my opinion it's a bit stupid to criticise. It didn't seem that difficult to understand.

    EDIT: I may as well answer the question as well. I can't do weighted pullups. I'm too weak. I can get about 5 reps (wide grip) with bodyweight in my first set and it goes progressively downhill from there.

    I never really go above a 45 plate, as I like to keep reps at a minimum of 10 per set. If I go higher I cant get a full set in.

    If you agree with that guys statement your telling me youve never asked anybody what they lift. Youve never said how much do you bench or anything like that, because this is more or less the same kind of question. So i just find it really annoying is what im saying.
