Cutting explained please!

Hey Group:

Been working out for a while and I struggle a little with helping my body get lean. Can someone explain in basic terms how I should alter my diet to keep up with my work out routine and cut some fat.

Thanks in advance!

At 5'9" and 154lb you have no reason to be trying to cut fat. You should be trying to add muscle.

That said Cutting is eating 500cal or so less then your maintain weight that will case you to loose as little muscle as possible while loosing fat.

If you really need to loose weight and still gain muscle I think the only way to do that is by "Carb Cycling".
Here is a link on how it is done: http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=811783
